We shared an Easter service with our street family 🤍

We shared a meal made with many helping hands, and gathered together in worship to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Through this outreach, we also had a precious time sharing the grace and love of Jesus with those on the streets.

We are deeply thankful for this time of sharing meals, warm fellowship, and hearts turned toward Jesus.

May the hope of the risen Christ continue to bring light, love, and new life to our street families.⭐️

It wasn’t about what we gave, but about being present. Conversations, eye contact, prayers, and shared laughter, small moments that become joyful moments in Christ.

We gathered once again for the SFC Christmas service this year by God’s grace!

May this joy of sharing with our neighbors continue beyond today, as we live as disciples of Jesus, sharing the gospel wherever God has placed us.

Through Street Family Chapel, we share the love of Jesus with our neighbors in the heart of the city.

If you’d like to join us, you’re warmly welcome to come any Saturday at 3PM

It's been a while since the last post.

in its ministry but more grace was found. Witnessing how God works and changes people's hearts is truly a blessing. This lady carefully reads notes on the music sheets on 'Here I am to worship'. She found this community her worship place to sing praises and listen to God's words.

Our dear friends Calvin left Melbourne just a week ago, and he is off for his new journey. Please keep our friend Calvin in your prayers to grow and be kept in God's provision.

Psalm 18:2 ESV
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

We are supposed to be prepared to answer questions about the hope in us (1 Peter 3:15), however we often find it is not as easy as we thought. We certainly need help of the Spirit and Godly wisdom to tell the world what this hope means to us.

Street families wonder what and why we are holding on this hope, and sometimes what this hope can do to their despairs and tragedy.

With providing hands of God, God has generously allowed us to purchase and be prepared for such questions. Topical booklets that are full of easy-to-understand knowledge to share Godly wisdom are here to help our street families! So were the Holy Bibles donated! Praise God!

Please continue in prayer for supplication of the ministry and street families in need, also protection and guidance over God's children.

2022 04 02 SFC Recap

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” The Bible begins with such an astounding statement. There is no question/ argument about whether God exists, or Why God wrote this book? or What is the introduction and what is the main body, there is nothing like that at all. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. It's just a statement of faith. Therefore, Christians may or may not become believers depending on whether they make this confession or not. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. If you make this confession of faith, you are a Christian; if you do not make this confession, you are not a Christian.

This saying that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth is like the key to open the Bible. If you believe this word, all the Bibles will be opened. However, if you do not believe this word, all the Bibles will be closed. The many characters, works, signs, and wonders that appear in the Bible, are all based on this faith ‘in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.’ For those who don’t believe in this, there will be no Adam, no Abraham, no Isaac, no Jacob, no David, no Solomon, and no Jesus. But to those who believe in this word, everything is clearly visible as if the morning sun shines in the dark. I hope that all of you will hear the word. Enlighten the darkness of ignorance before God.

You will die anyway.

Fancy cars, nice clothes, good looking, enormous number of instagram followers, shining intellectuality, charming smile, luxury lifestyle, lovely family, successful networks, power, jealousy, insufficiency, insecurity, poverty, all the highs and lows cannot stop Death. Death devours all the hope we could have. It’s the ultimate enemy.

Then what are we left with? We need a power that overcomes and destroys Death.

24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.
25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
(1 Co 15:24-26)

Finally this is God’s grand plan. He trumps all the authorities and power, that seem to control what surrounds us. But God has control over them and eventually over the death, our greatest enemy. He will achieve all of these on that day, when Jesus comes back.

So, If Jesus didn’t die at all, we cannot be forgiven,
If Jesus didn’t resurrect, we have no one who fights for us against death.

But Jesus died and raised, therefore we have hope to be resurrected with him.

However you have to decide, because Jesus gave his gift for those who belong to him!

But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. (1 Co 15:23)

The overwhelming power and hope that trumps all rules and authorities and even death are given to who belong to Jesus.

Would you belong to Jesus? Would you believe who Jesus is and what Jesus has done for you?

Would you follow his way?

2022 03 19 SFC Recap

The things of this world are vanity. They cannot compare to the true joy that is found in God. But they help point us to the greater delight of God himself.

As Jesus is a model for enjoying the good gifts of God, so Jesus is our model of self-denial. He did not think equality with God. He became a man to be despised and rejected, giving up for a time the honor of being recognized and worshipped as God. He had no place to lay his head. He was mistreated, suffered, and gave himself over to death. So the Christian must deny himself and take up his cross.

However Jesus was the most contented man who ever lived.

But self-denial does not equal a good virtue. We deny ourselves because we are followers of Jesus, and we seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness. We do not pursue the things of this world. Yet our lives are to be marked by joy, and we can delight in the things of this world as we recognize them as gifts from God. We delight in God in them. However they point us to the greater delight of God himself. Joy and satisfaction come only in the restless pursuit of the pleasures of God.

At the end of the day, this is the essence of Christian contentment. Enjoying (finding joy in) God. Delighting and resting in him.

At the same time, this is the essence of godliness. Godliness ultimately consists in beholding, by faith, the glory of God revealed in Jesus Christ and in delighting and resting in that glory. The heart of godliness is seeing God. Nothing in the world compares to this.

Godliness with contentment is great gain. Only one thing is necessary.
