The imprisoned. The deaf. The homeless. The sick. The elderly. The poor.

These aren't just labels. They're people with names, stories, and hopes for the future. Every day, through the ministries and charities of the Church, they find compassion, practical support, and renewed hope.

When you give to this year's Archbishop's Campaign, your generosity becomes part of those stories. You help provide care for retired priests who have dedicated their lives to serving others. You help a Deaf mum and her children fully participate in Mass together through Auslan. You support a father rebuilding his life after addiction so he can be there for his family.

Your gift changes lives. Donate today: https://give.melbournecatholic.org

Today is the feast day of the patron saint of parish priests, Jean-Baptiste-Marie Vianney – known as John Vianney.

The farmer’s son was born at the beginning of the French revolution and was forced to take his first Communion and Confession in secret while France was under the anti-clerical ‘reign of terror’. He never forgot the heroism of the nuns and priests who risked everything for their faith.

He was renowned as a confessor and for performing healing miracles. His church in the village of Ars in eastern France became a pilgriamge site in the mid-19th century as tens of thousands sought to make their confession to him.

St John Vianney, pray for our parish priests.
