⚠️ IMPORTANT FOR FAMILIES ⚠️

Did you know that 75% of the time we spend with our kids in our lifetime will be spent by age 12?

Therefore if you currently have kids that are under 12 remember that this is the main bulk of time you will get with them over your lifetime!

Long Summer holidays & weekends during this time could be considered as the golden years of family life.

There is a significant development shift that happens during childhood around age 12 (occasionally earlier) and with that often comes a change in family dynamics.

Summers begin to have a different look and then eventually parents and siblings become more of a background object, a less integral piece of the puzzle.

Growing up is a blessing, something to be celebrated & we want our kids to be confident & independent taking on the challenges of the world and as they mature through the different stages including drivers training, first jobs & dating.

What all of this means is that it's highly unlikely that any of us will get 18 endless summers with our kids. Maybe we will get 13 or 14 if we are fortunate.

Our time truly is limited.

We need to remember to slow down and to simply our lives so we can be present with our beloved family.

We need to pray for perspective on the days that drag on. We need to not just put the screens & hats on, but ensure we truly connect and make the most of the time we have together during these golden years.

Wet n Wild month for our kids has been off the charts. We have loved spoiling your kids with a variety of events each week. we pray for 2023 that the lords hand of favour, blessing, protection and joy be with them. We are gearing up for another great year in training and equipping the future church. If you would like to join a team of passionate volunteers we would love your help. We love capturing your kids memories each week and we would like you to know a little bit about who is coming into kids church to take photos. We have Brent Whitney who has been part of COh Church for many years and was assistant in our playgroup every Thursday last year. He also has his own photography business and has offered his services to our church. Brent is married Ally and they have two gorgeous children.
We also would like to introduce David Batt who is married to Lucy and has a son Harry who can often be found down the front each Sunday jumping to praise and worship. David is a pastors son and works in the hospital and Lucy is a teacher at kings Christian College. They both have run kids ministries in the past.
So thank you to our team for capturing memories for us.

What a weekend for COH Kids. Thanks you to Rick for bringing g in your pottery wheel and helping the kids make treasure items whilst teaching them about the master potter. And thank you to Nikki Allen for bringing her “let’s be sensory” to toddler room for messy play. Please see pics below and of course shout out to our team leaders for all you do. So excited for 2023. Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in growing Christian’s 💛

Happy new year and we are so excited for our annual Wet n Wild month of summer. This Sunday we are set to go with our colour fun water obstacle course. Please bring a spare change of clothes and a towel. We will be learning about navigating through our lives with the Holy Spirit. See you Sunday 🙌🙌
