Service times in the parish have changed. There will now be just one service per month at Buxton - on the 4th Sunday. St Thomas' at Buxton will also be open every Monday morning for private prayer and reflection. Come and enjoy some quiet time in this lovely little historical country church.

We're opening the churches.

Before Covid struck in 2020 Christ Church, Marysville was open several days during the week for people to visit, spend some time in quiet prayer or reflection and enjoy the tranquility of this special place.

Churches, apart from providing worship space for regular church-goers, are for the whole community. Especially in challenging times, both personal and wide-spread, people of all beliefs or no belief,often turn to the church for comfort and support.
So we, the Anglican Parish of Maryville and Buxton, invite all members of the community and visitors to take time out to enjoy a few moments of peace and quiet amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

From Monday 30th June both churches in the Parish will be open as follows:

Christ Church, Marysville
- Mondays 9.30 am - 12.30 pm
- alternate Tuesdays 9.30 - 12.30 to coincide with Tuesday Chat

St Thomas’ Buxton
Mondays 9.30 - 12 noon

Look out for the Church Open sign

Also, the Labyrinth, beside the church in Marysville is open 24/7 to visit, sit, contemplate and walk.

Naturally, you are also welcome to join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10am - 1st, 3rd and 5th of the month in Marysville, 2nd and 4th in Buxton.

Just a reminder that the Murrindindi Community Food Share is open tomorrow in Alexandra for anyone in our community experiencing food insecurity.

Christ Church at night. This lovely nativity scene was painted by local artist Meryll Crabtree a few years ago and graces the front of our church every Christmas. The cross on the church wall is lit at night all year round.

Yesterday the Marysville Primary School visited Christ Church to hear the Christmas story and decorate the Christmas tree, then they set off to bring Christmas greetings to all the businesses in the main street.
