To every volunteer who shows up, gives their time, and cares for others, you are the heart of what happens here. Whether you volunteer in the Family Store or within the Church, you are valued and appreciated. You might not always see the impact, but it’s felt every single day.

Sunday was a very special day for The Maryborough Salvos as Deanne was officially installed as our Church Leader.

Deanne has faithfully served both the Maryborough community and our church for over 15 years, and her dedication certainly does not go unnoticed. She has been a driving force behind the many services, programs, and supports our church provides to the community, always leading with compassion, faith, and a heart for others.

Alongside Deanne, Rose was also officially installed as Ministry Assistant. Rose brings a fresh perspective, a strong passion for supporting the community in all areas, and a willingness to embrace God’s calling for this community.

We would also like to thank Major Melissa Millard for conducting the installation service and helping mark such a meaningful occasion for our church family.

Today officially marks the beginning of the 2026 Red Shield Appeal for the Maryborough Salvation Army!

Every dollar raised stays right here in our local Maryborough community to support people. Not everyone we support is homeless — many are hardworking people and families who’ve simply hit a rough patch and need a little help to get back on their feet. 🙏

Your donations help us provide:
🍽️ Community meals twice a week
🛒 Emergency relief assistance
🎟️ Food vouchers
🚿 Warm showers
🧼 Washing facilities
❤️ Support, care and hope for local families and individuals in crisis

This isn’t just fundraising — it’s neighbours helping neighbours, faith put into action, and a community coming together to care for one another. ✨

Every 17 seconds, The Salvation Army in Australia helps someone in need. And this help is made possible through the generosity of people like you.

As the cost-of-living crisis deepens, it is resulting in an unsurmountable mountain of financial and personal stress for many. Countless Aussies, many for the first time, are coming to us for support.

We need your help to ensure that when people reach out to the Salvos, we are there to provide practical assistance to those facing homelessness, hardship, and injustice.

Today, we honour the incredible women who shape our lives – mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunties, godmothers, mentors and friends. We are thankful for the many ways they teach, nurture and guide us, and we pay tribute to their strength, love and countless acts of care that make such a difference in our lives.
