Today we looked at how God won the battles in Joshua 10. God created the rules of nature and He can override them also. He made the sun stand still for nearly a day. We tried this experiment tonight using laws of nature - see how you go with it.

This is where we are up to in the story of Joshua. We have learned how Rahab made a deal with the spies, how Israel TRUSTED and OBEYED God with His battle plan for taking the first fortified (walled) city in the promised land.
And we left the story with the ‘one rule.’
The one rule after the victory was that the treasure from the FIRST city goes to God.

Remember our verse for this term?
Well, tonight we look at how Joshua had to be strong and brave and remember that God was with him - when he led the nation of Israel across the Jordan River in Joshua 3-4.
To help future generations remember this, Israel was instructed to take 12 stones from the middle of the Jordan and make a monument to help them remember they can be strong and brave because God is with them wherever they go.
We are doing the same by gluing a small pebble on the verse. We can put this somewhere in our home to remind us that God is always with us and we can be strong and brave if we TRUST GOD no matter what and OBEY GOD no matter what.

We left the story last week in Joshua 2 with the spies escaping and leaving instructions for Rahab.
What will happen next? Will the spies, Israel and Rahab OBEY GOD no matter what?
So far we have seen the spies TRUST GOD no matter what. Their next test will be if they OBEY GOD no matter what.
