Rest in peace a shining light🙏🙏🙏

🙏 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐈: “𝐀 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲”

In solidarity with the head of the Catholic Bishops Conference of England and Wales, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, who called the Queen “a shining light in our history,” we pray for the repose of the soul of Queen Elizabeth II.

Cardinal Nichols said: “We are heartbroken in our loss at her death, and so full of admiration for the unfailing way in which she fulfilled that declaration. Even in my sorrow, shared with so many around the world, I am filled with an immense sense of gratitude for the gift to the world that has been the life of Queen Elizabeth II.

“Our prayer is that she is now received into the merciful presence of God, there to be reunited with her beloved Prince Philip,” he said. “This is the promise of our faith, and our deep consolation.”

What was truly remarkable about the Queen was not simply the passage of time, but the fact that she moved with those times while remaining the great constant in British public life. She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to duty and service. This went far beyond a mere sense of obligation; more of a permanent awareness that whatever she did, wherever she went, Her Majesty was the embodiment of the nation.
