The Metcalfe family would like to thank everyone involved in making last weeks bull sale a success. To all our friends and clients who continue to support us - Thankyou!

Also a big thankyou goes to the team at Elders who did a fantastic job representing us.

We had a complete clearance of all the Angus bulls and were only left with a couple of Murray Grey bulls.

We have managed to deliver over half the bulls already and have really enjoyed catching up with clients - there is certainly a lot more positivity in the industry this year!

Once we finish delivering the bulls we are due to begin calving and the cycle continues!

We’ve sold some outstanding yearlings in recent years including stud sires to both Granite Ridge Angus and Springhills Angus.

We don’t offer many each year but here’s our pick for this year - Lot 53. A Schiefelbein Showman son out of Coonamble G194.

He’s thick, quiet, structurally correct and can be used over heifers.

He’s semen tested and ready to go. He sells on Monday 23rd.

Last week we selected our replacement PTIC heifers and the standout sire group was the first drop of T288 daughters. We have been expecting this due to maternal grand dam P114 being one of our most fertile, functional cows with close to the best udder in our herd.

T288 will be the most influential sire over our 2000 head commercial herd over the next 5 years.

We have 14 sons available in this years sale including these two at lot 7 and 35.
