Chabad Malvern is an engaging, inspiring and inviting Jewish Community Centre which provides educational, social and spiritual services to inspire Jewish growth and identity. Here at Chabad Malvern we strive to create a warm, haymish and inviting atmosphere, inspired by the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, to look beyond a persons exterior and connect to their soul with deep love and respect. ur meaningful living centre gives purpose, inspiration and knowledge to help people live a deeper and more meaningful life. Our Shul is home to a mosaic of beautiful individuals and families and we are constantly hosting new programs and events. Across the road is our State of the Art Creche and Youth Education Centre. Our vibrant Youth division is also growing, with added programs and services for children and teens of all ages. Chabad Malvern provides all Jewish needs and services from pregnancy and birth to the passing away of a loved one. We believe that the key to our success is proactively pursuing personal relationships, creating a family atmosphere and creating a non-judgemental, caring and warm environment for the whole community.

In the lead up to our Bar Mitzvah boys Shabbaton, the boys joined with their mothers for a challah bake with Rivkah and Menucha. The boys then spent a beautiful Shabbos with a fun and meaningful atmosphere, setting the foundation for their Bar Mitzvah.

In addition to our regular High Holiday services, Chabad Malvern is delighted to once again offer Shalvah, a one-hour meaningful and grounding experience guided by Chanchkie and Velly Slavin.

Shalvah is an opportunity to pause, reflect and connect with the deeper meaning of the High Holidays. Through a blend of contemporary insights, traditional teachings and accessible explanations, we will explore some of the central themes and prayers of the High Holiday services.

Shalvah is designed to be engaging, thoughtful and welcoming, creating a space to slow down and make the most of this special time of year.

Rosh Hashanah: Saturday & Sunday, 12–13 September
Yom Kippur: Monday, 21 September
9:45am – 10:45am

Places are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Malvern location provided upon booking.

Last week, we gathered to celebrate Helsie's 80th birthday with a special evening of learning, reflection and gratitude.

Chanchkie, Velly and Phil Lewis each shared teachings from Pirkei Avot, a work of timeless Jewish wisdom that Helsie herself studied and cherished. Cera Newhouse also offered heartfelt personal reflections on the privilege of learning from and working alongside Helsie in building and strengthening the Jewish community.
