Renee McLean will be talking to us about: 'Country needs people & people need Country: God's life and blessings move between'

Renee is a Uniting Church person from the radical discipleship tradition and Volunteer Coordinator of Morpeth Riverbank Collective. Renee established this riverbank restoration and environmental education community in 2023 after a long time spent trying to find meaningful community and faith practice in the church. The group is her attempt to joyfully 're-place' herself in the ecological reality of the suburbs around her, trying to move from the displacement of her inherited settler culture to learn, know and love this place on Wonnarua lands. She will share about this group, and some of the influences that shaped its development: the Bible, trauma-informed thinking, the neurodivergence movement, climate anxiety and the church's pastoral response, Wendell Berry, bush regeneration & Robin Wall-Kimmerer.
