With the conclusion of our epic summer club 2019, it was heart warming to see the children wishing to come back for more!
With hampers, sweets & treats in tow, the children & their parents gifted the 'Journey to Jannah volunteers' & left heartening comments reflecting over the last week❤

To finish this amazing and enriching experience, the children were rewarded with yummy treats donated by the community!

Salah is an important part of every muslims daily life & to ensure we lay the foundations of this worship, the daily prayer of Salatul Dhuhr was offered by the children.
The prayer was led by our very own Junior Imam (Hashir Hashmi)
As well as the Dhuhr prayer, Imam Hashmi junior delivered a beautiful khutbah on the blessed day of Jummah! سبحان الله

Day 5 & the final day-
The heroines of Islam with special focus on the first female warrior of Islam
'Nusaybah bint Ka'ab' رضي الله عنها
She embraced Islam with unbelievable strength & was one of the few people who stood firm as a human shield with the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in the battle of Uhud.
Children made and decorated their own swords to go with their shields produced earlier in the week.

Day 4- 'Activity day'
Inspired by the lives and hobbies of the sahabah, children took part in a fun packed day consisting of Archery, Gladiator duel, Assualt course and Tug of war

Day 2: The sword of Allah عزوجل
'Khalid bin Waleed' رضي الله عنه
His strength and might allowed him to break through nine swords in the battle of Mu'ta. سبحان الله
We created shields of armour and decorated them, followed by letter writing to our loved ones as if we were in battle alongside Khalid bin Waleed رضي الله عنه

We kicked off the week with the first mu'azzin of Islam, Hazrat Bilal رضي الله عنه
Learning about his strength in faith and trust in Allah through all the hardships he faced.
Children made their own miniture ka'bah models followed by hand printing to show how we are all one in the eye of Allah عزوجل
Despite colour and beauty, it's our deeds that matter.
