Thank you to everyone who came out & supported our Car Boot 🚗 Sale & Cake 🧁 Stall yesterday. It was great to see you all.

Our Car Boot 🚗 Sale & Cake Stall 🧁🍪 is happening this Saturday, 5th September from 9am!

You’ll find us at St John’s Anglican Church, Maffra. If the weather is nice ☀️we’ll be outside on the lawn or if the weather is not so great 🌧️, we’ll be in the hall.

Come & see us for cakes 🧁 & sponges, sausage rolls, biscuits 🍪, slices (jelly slice, lemon 🍋 slice, chocolate 🍫 slice), apple 🍏 crumbles & apple pies 🥧 and all kinds of baked goods.

There will also be hand knitted & crochet 🧶 items, handmade cards and lots of plants 🪴.
Along with a range of quality items looking for a new home! There’s also a great Father’s Day hamper raffle 🧺 just in time for Father’s Day on Sunday!

Please bring cash 💵 with you.

What’s happening around the parish this week:

Wednesday 26th August - Holy Communion @ St John’s, Maffra at 10am, ⛪️ followed by sandwich making 🥪 for the local schools (also at St John’s).

Thursday 27th August - Mainly Music at @ the Geoff Webster Centre, St John’s, Maffra from 9.15am 🎶

Friday 28th August - Coffee @ Carpenter Street Food Store at 10.30am ☕️

Sunday 30th August is a 5th Sunday so our Sunday worship service will be at St George’s, Boisdale @ 10am followed by morning tea 🫖. Please note that there will be no service this Sunday @ St John’s, Maffra.

Don’t forget about our upcoming Car Boot 🚗 and Cake Stall 🧁🍪 @ St John’s, Maffra on Saturday 5th September from 9am. There will be plants, Father’s Day raffle, cakes, biscuits, slices, hand crafted items and quality second hand items. More details below 👇

Monday 17th - Community Meal at St. Johns Maffra @ 6pm 🍴🥘

Wednesday 19th - Holy Communion Service at St. John’s Maffra @ 10am ⛪️. It’s also our turn this week for the prayer and praise worship at both the aged care homes here in Maffra. 11am for prayer and praise worship at Stretton Park and then 1.30pm for prayer and praise worship at McDonald Wing 🎶

Thursday 20th - Mainly Music at St. Johns @ 9.15am. 😊🎵

Sunday 23rd - Holy Communion Service at St. Johns @ 9am ⛪️. All Welcome 🙏

Also, our monthly newsletter ‘the voice’ 📰 is now ready for collection.

Save the Date! Our Car Boot & Cake stall is happening on the 1st Saturday in September - Saturday 5th September from 9am.
Have you got some items you’d like to sell? We have sites available!
🧁Please also note that this will be our ONLY cake stall this year (before the annual Christmas Fair). So if there is a yummy treat you always come & see us for make sure you put this date in your diary! If there is something you really love, feel free to reach out to us! We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday 5th September. 🍪

Looking for a fun night out? We’d love to see you at our Trivia Night this Saturday. Lots of great raffles and prizes to be won. 🏆

Get your team together for a chance to be crowned Trivia Champions! Don’t have enough people for a team if 8? That’s ok too, come along and we’ll find you a team.
