We celebrate every time a disciple makes a disciple,
and a church multiplies itself, until there is the transforming presence of Jesus Christ in every community throughout Australia.

The General Conference of the Wesleyan Church in North America has concluded with a time of anointing and praying for each other. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of community and His presence and power.

Solomon Islands Cyclone Relief Appeal
Our Wesleyan church family in the Solomon Islands has been deeply impacted by Cyclone Maila. Homes, churches, gardens, and clean water supplies have been destroyed, leaving many families in urgent need.

This will not be a quick recovery, and our brothers and sisters need both our prayers and practical support.

As a church family across Australia, we have a long and meaningful connection with the Solomon Islands, and this is a tangible opportunity for us to show love, partnership, and Christian compassion in a time of great need.

Every gift — large or small — will make a real difference.
🙏 Please pray

Dear Wesleyan Pastors and Church Leaders,

I am writing to invite nominations for the role of National Missions Director.

Before outlining the process, I want to acknowledge, with deep gratitude, the significant contribution of Dallas in this role over many years, together with Ruth. Their faithful service, sacrifice, and commitment to mission have helped shape who we are as a movement. We honour them and give thanks to God for their ministry among us.

As we look to the future, we are seeking to appoint a National Missions Director who can help lead us into the next season.

This is primarily a volunteer position, although there may be provision for up to one day per week depending on available income. The role is not centred on one person doing everything, but on someone who can lead, build, and coordinate a team to carry the mission of the church forward.

The Role Includes:

-Coordinating the national missions department
-Strengthening and overseeing our existing mission connections, including:
-The Solomon Islands
-Our missionary in South Asia, David Collins
-Support of D as she prepares for Fotizo
-Helping connect our churches in Australia with mission opportunities across the 100+ countries in which we have a presence
-Ensuring our mission efforts align with our national vision: Anyone to Anywhere
- Encouraging and equipping churches to embrace this missional posture
- Expanding both the reach and the depth of our mission engagement as a denomination

This is a significant leadership role within our movement. It is directly accountable to the National Board of Administration (NBA) and works within the mission direction they set.

The Person We Are Seeking:
This is not a role that can be fulfilled by one person alone. The key requirement is the ability to develop and lead a capable team, bringing people together around a shared vision for mission.

Nomination Process:
You are welcome to nominate someone else or nominate yourself
If nominating another person, please ensure you have their permission first

All nominees will be asked to provide background information and relevant experience

A shortlist will be formed, and applicants will be interviewed
The NBA will make the final decision

Please send all nominations to [email protected] by COB 6 May.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration of this important role. I am encouraged by the way God continues to shape us as a people on mission, and I look forward to seeing how He will lead us into this next chapter.

Grace and peace,
Lex

We’ve reached the final days of our 23 Days of Prayer. As we pray, we’re believing for God to stir fresh vision, unity, and courage in every leader and every church represented in our movement.

Save this image and join us in praying daily as we prepare our hearts for the Pastors & Leaders Gathering at the end of February.

Thank you for standing with us, praying with us, and carrying this mission together.

Let’s step into these final days with expectation — trusting that God is preparing us for all He’s about to do.
We’re united. We’re prayerful. We’re On Mission.
