This Sunday we are continuing our series on discipleship, looking at God's plan to redeem us.

In Colossians we read:

"he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven" Colossians 1:22-23

We'd love you to gather with us!

How central should the work of disciple-making be in our daily lives and in our church culture?

This Sunday we begin our new series on discipleship, starting with Jesus command in Matthew 28:

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"

We'd love you to gather with us!

After celebrating our 4th anniversary last week, we are beginning our 5th year as a church! This week we will be considering the teaching in 1 Corinthians 10. Verse 12 says:

"So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!"

Peter will be preaching to us about the dangers when privilege becomes presumption, when engagement becomes idolatry and when liberty becomes licence - tough things to consider but things we need to be on the lookout for.

How do I keep following Jesus when the pressure is on - the pressure to be successful, to be loyal to family, to compromise on the truth for the sake of peace or fitting in? But the Bible teaches us that we are God's chosen people and encourages us to stand firm in obedience even when the pressure comes on.

This Sunday, Zane Elliott from the Anglican Church in NZ, will be showing us the glorious riches that come when we live for Jesus . Check out 1 Peter 1:1-2 and 5:12-14!

See you on Sunday - it's also our 4th birthday so there will be food and cake 🎈

This Sunday we continue our series in Exodus looking at a well known event - the Golden Calf. Despite God's goodness and faithfulness his people turned to idolatry and God's anger burned. We will be looking at the seriousness of attributing God's good gifts to another and the startling way God's anger gets expressed.

A chunk of Exodus from chapters 25-40 contains instructions for building a tent - or in the language of Exodus, a tabernacle. This tent was designed to be portable so this place of God's presence would move with God's people. In the new testament, in John's Gospel, we read how Jesus came and tabernacled among us. God invites us into the privilege of knowing him and meeting with a holy God. And we have a reminder of this privilege when we come to church each week.

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling (literally, tabernacled) among us." John 1:14
