Back some years ago, I (Jai) was at a church service in another town, and I was singled out for prayer, and the person leading the service prayed that my spiritual eyes would be opened. That wasn’t really something I’d thought to ask God for. It wasn’t something I was seeking. But since that time I have had many occasions where God has ‘shown’ me things. Sometimes it’s observing things in nature or in my surroundings. Other times using pictures that have come into my mind. Sometimes it could be best described as ‘day-dreaming’. Other times through actual dreams in my sleep. You might have had various experiences where you have spiritually ‘seen’ things. What does it mean to see in the Spirit? How do we see in this way?

Join us at Fitzgerald State School Hall this Sunday 11th October 9:30am to worship God and think about what God has to say about seeing in the Spirit.

We’ve been encouraged to stir up our gift, to listen to the voice of our Creator and to say ‘no!’ to the competing voice of the enemy. This Sunday will be an opportunity to share ways that you’ve heard God’s voice, stepped out in faith with Jesus and seen the Holy Spirit at work. We’d love to hear from you! After a time of worship we’ll open up the floor and see what God does!

Have you ever felt like you didn’t fit the mould? Like everyone else seemed to belong while you were left trying to adapt? Perhaps you’ve wondered why God made you different or questioned whether the very things that set you apart were obstacles rather than gifts.

This Sunday Denise Roberts, a good friend locally of Good Soil Fellowship and author of Creation Speaks, will be joining us to share from God’s Word. Also we will hear a bit about Kairos Prison Ministry and worship God with live music.

We are in a spiritual battle. We may have chosen the wrong side in that battle. We may not have realised the battle we were in. Either way, at this time of year, we remember that freedom is possible. Jesus died to cancel every sin and every agreement with the enemy, that we and our ancestors have made. We are able to turn back to God and to cut off all bondages and curses in Jesus name and to walk in freedom with God our creator, being blessed in Him.

Join in over two Sunday afternoons in speaking out our decision to turn from rebellion against God in different areas of our lives, resist the devil and ask God for strength to live for Him, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Be healed, be cleansed, be set free.

Two sessions, 1-5pm, Sundays 26th April and 3rd May
Fitzgerald State School Hall, Norris Road, North Mackay

$50 for workbook, plus $10 per session. 1st session must be completed before attending the 2nd session.

'I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.'
