MOTHERS DAY MESSAGE SUMMARIES: 🎤
👩🏾🗣️Pastor Deneisha’s encouragement:
God’s Presence and Wisdom for Mothers
Psalm 46:4–7 reminds us that “there is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,” and that God is in the midst of His people; therefore, they “shall not be moved.” On Mother’s Day, this is a powerful reminder that mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters who belong to God carry His presence, power, and life-giving stream into every part of life. Even when circumstances feel chaotic, uncertain, or overwhelming, God’s people are covered by the blood of Jesus, cleansed, sanctified, and set apart. Because of the cross, our past and present struggles do not define us. As believers, we stand firm on God’s Word, resist the devil, and trust that he must flee, knowing God’s love never fails.

The message focused on the value of time. Time is one of the greatest gifts we can give, especially to our mothers and families, because once it is spent, it cannot be recovered. Proverbs 4:1–10 calls us to “get wisdom” and not forsake her, using feminine language to picture wisdom as something to be cherished, nurtured, and embraced. Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom,” and Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that “to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” Mothers and parents are called not only to instruct children but to nurture wisdom in them, especially as they grow older. Like Mary, who “kept all these things and pondered them in her heart” in Luke 2:19, mothers understand the sacredness of moments and the importance of cherishing what God is doing.
The good news is that Jesus can redeem the time. Ephesians 5:15–16 tells us to walk wisely, “redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Through forgiveness, wisdom, honour, and faith, God can restore what has been lost and bring healing into families. Proverbs 31:28 says, “Her children rise up.. (continued in comments)
