📣 Eid Al-Adha 2026 – Community Announcement

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Eid Mubarak in advance! We are pleased to announce the details for our Eid Al-Adha Salah and community celebration:

🕌 Eid Salah Details:
📍 Location: W A Jolly Park (next to Masjid As-Sunnah)
📅 Date: Wednesday, 27th May 2026
🕢 Takbeer Begins: 7:30 AM
🕌 Eid Salah: 8:00 AM sharp

🎉 Eid Celebrations Following the Prayer:
• Sizzling BBQ
• Henna Art
• Face Painting
• Jumping Castle for Kids
• Animal Farm
• Hot Coffee and more treats for the family

🚗 Parking Information:
• Please note that there will be NO parking available at W A Jolly Park or Wesley’s Park.
• We kindly request the community to plan ahead and utilise nearby street parking where permitted.
• Please follow all parking regulations and cooperate with volunteer marshals and traffic controllers on the day.

📖 Important Reminder Regarding Takbeer:
The Sunnah is for each person to recite the Takbeer individually while raising their voice, without doing so in unison. The community is encouraged to recite the Takbeer aloud individually.

May Allah accept our worship, sacrifices, and good deeds during these blessed days, and allow us to celebrate Eid upon goodness, unity, and gratitude.

📣 Community Announcement: Start of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

We are pleased to inform our community that the moon has been sighted, and the Month of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH will begin today, Monday, 18th May 2026.

🌙 Among the special seasons of worship are the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, which Allah has preferred over all the other days of the year.

These days are so sacred that Allah swears an oath by them, which is indicative of their importance and great virtue. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“By the dawn; by the ten nights” [Surah al-Fajr 89:1–2]

📅 Confirmed Important Dates:
• 9th Dhul-Hijjah – Day of Arafah: Tuesday, 26th May 2026
• 10th Dhul-Hijjah – Eid al-Adha: Wednesday, 27th May 2026

🕌 Details regarding the Eid Prayer will be announced and shared closer to the day of Eid, In shaa Allah.

📣 Community Announcement: Expected Start of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

We would like to inform our community that the Month of Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH is expected to begin tomorrow, Monday, 18th May 2026, subject to moonsighting.

🌙 The first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah are among the most sacred days in the Islamic calendar. Let us take full advantage of these blessed days through acts of worship, fasting, dhikr, charity, and good deeds.

📅 Important Dates (Tentative, Based on Moonsighting):
• 9th Dhul-Hijjah – Day of Arafah: Tuesday, 26th May 2026
• 10th Dhul-Hijjah – Eid al-Adha: Wednesday, 27th May 2026

Please note, final confirmation of these dates will depend on the sighting of the moon, and there may be a delay in announcements (around 3–4 AM) if we are waiting on international moonsighting reports.

Friday Night Program – Weekly Video Lecture Series

The current series features lessons by Saeed Hassan based on the book “Shuroot as-Salaah” written by Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhab.

The series covers:
• The conditions of Salah
• The pillars of Salah
• The obligations of Salah
With evidences from the Qur’an and Sunnah.
