You cannot move forward while continually living in the past.

Past failures can fill you with condemnation, while past successes can leave you satisfied with where you are. Paul refused to be held back by either. He fixed his eyes on what God had placed ahead and continued pressing forward.

“Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal.” Philippians 3:13–14

God is not finished with you. Release what lies behind, keep your eyes on Jesus, and press toward the calling He has placed before you.

The Christian life is not about discovering how close we can come to sin without crossing the line.

When Jesus is truly Lord of our lives, our question changes. We stop asking, “Am I allowed to do this?” and begin asking, “Will this please Jesus?”

“Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:9

Following Christ is more than observing a set of rules. It is living every part of our lives with one desire: to please the One who gave Himself for us.
