Hi Everyone
Just letting everyone know of a change / opportunity for this Sunday as our friends at the Uniting Church in Lismore conduct a 'reopening service' for their church building and Red Dove centre (corner of Keen St and Woodlark St) at 10am. There will be morning tea at the Uniting Church after the service.
Several other groups from the region will also be joining with them on that day.
It has been quite a journey for the Uniting Church after the 2022 flood, and it would be good if we could support them to celebrate their 'journey back'. Our Uniting friends have been such good partners in what we do serving the needs of our city. Two specific activities come to mind that they were previously involved in - the early morning breakfast for rough sleepers at the back of the Red Dove, and the weekly low cost Food Pantry they operated.
The service is at the same time we usually have church, at 10am at the Uniting Church, and we won't be holding our usual church service in the "Winsome Cafe", encouraging as many who can to attend the Uniting Church gathering.
However, for those who wish to gather at the Winsome or turn up there, there will be someone at the Winsome to convene a gathering with whoever shows up ie making sure no-one is left out 🙂
