🌙 The House of Guidance Hobart Welcomes the New Hijri Year 1448H

As we enter a new Islamic year, we thank Allah for His countless blessings and for allowing us to witness another year in our journey of faith.

The Hijrah teaches us that success comes through faith, sacrifice, patience, and trust in Allah. A new year is an opportunity to renew our commitment to Allah and take practical steps towards becoming better Muslims.

One of the greatest ways to strengthen our faith is to stay connected to the Masjid. The Masjid is the heart of our community, a place of worship, knowledge, brotherhood, and spiritual growth. Make it a goal this year to attend the congregational prayers regularly, participate in Islamic programs, and encourage your family and children to build a strong connection with the House of Allah.

Let us begin this year with sincere repentance, gratitude, and renewed determination to increase in prayer, Qur’an, remembrance of Allah, and service to our community.

Thul Hijjah begins Monday 18 May 2026, with Eid Al‑Adha on Wednesday 27 May.

May Allah bless our community in these sacred days.

The House of Guidance Hobart acknowledges, understands, and respects the opinions of Imams and scholars who may hold different views. It calls upon the community to respect these differences of opinion and strive towards the greater good and unity of the Muslim community.

We ask Allah Almighty to accept your worship, intentions, and sacrifices during these blessed days, accept the Hajj of all Hujaj, return them safely to their families, and ease the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza and around the world.
