🚸 Parenting with Purpose Workshop
WHEN: Sunday 13 September | 12.30–3.30 pm
WHERE: Lesmurdie Baptist Church, 1 Varley St, lesmurdie
COST: $10 per person (includes resources and an afternoon tea break)
Parenting with Purpose is a practical and interactive workshop designed to help you step back and think about the bigger picture:
• What kind of adult do you want your child to become?
• What kind of relationship do you want to have with your child when they are an adult?
• How do you parent now to help you get there?
The workshop will be led by Hollie Beeck, who has qualifications in teaching and counselling, and has worked with Relationships Australia. Hollie is passionate about preventative parenting - developing healthy relationships, skills and patterns early in our parenting journey, so we can lay strong foundations for the years ahead.
We’ll explore:
• Parenting as a Team
• Parenting Styles
• Rites of Passage
• Role Models and Mentors
• Parenting Emotions and Behaviours
• Self-Care and Getting Help
There will be opportunities throughout the afternoon to talk together about your own parenting and family, reflect on what is working, and consider what you might want to do differently.
The workshop is suitable for parents of children of all ages, including couples, separated and co-parenting parents, and blended families.
