Jeremy, Edwina, Amelia, Jan, Jason and Mark, lead us in singing our closing song to celebrate our "Founder's Day"-

"Verse 1
O boundless salvation deep ocean of love
O fullness of mercy Christ brought from above
The whole world redeeming so rich and so free
Now flowing for all men come roll over me

Verse 2
My sins they are many their stains are so deep
And bitter the tears of remorse that I weep
But useless is weeping thou great crimson sea
Thy waters can cleanse me come roll over me

Verse 3
My tempers are fitful my passions are strong
They bind my poor soul and they force me to wrong
Beneath thy blest billows deliverance I see
O come mighty ocean and roll over me

Verse 4
Now tossed with temptations then haunted with fears
My life has been joyless and useless for years
I feel something better most surely would be
If once thy pure waters would roll over me

Verse 5
O ocean of mercy oft longing I've stood
On the brink of thy wonderful life giving flood
Once more I have reached this soul cleansing sea
I will not go back till it rolls over me

Verse 6
The tide is now flowing I'm touching the wave
I hear the loud call of the mighty to save
My faith's growing bolder delivered I'll be
I plunge 'neath the waters they roll over me

Verse 7
And now hallelujah the rest of my days
Shall gladly be spent in promoting his praise
Who opened his bosom to pour out this sea
Of boundless salvation for you and for me"

Kev brings God’s message for us today . . . “Forgiveness.”
(Kev's complete message is available in the video of today's service linked in the comments)

Going back to the place where you have failed is the most difficult exercise.

We know the story of Peter out fishing all night, without success, hearing the voice of Jesus telling him to cast his net on the other side . . . and the net filled to breaking point! “It is the Lord” Peter shouted, and jumped overboard to meet Jesus on the beach where he was cooking fish on a fire. Peter experienced forgiveness from Jesus for his betrayal around another fire. Jesus asked Peter three times “Do you love me?”

“Without forgiveness life is governed by an endless cycle of resentment and retaliation.”

Un-forgiveness destroys lives. We need to “storm the force of darkness” and bring them down!

Why is it so had to forgive? It costs us our pride, ego, and stubbornness.

Everyone has the need to be forgiven. We pray this in the Lord’s Prayer. “. . . forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.”

Matthew 6:14 “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.”

Colossians 3:13 “Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”

We watch a video by the Skit Guys that powerfully communicates the grace of Jesus.

Baptism means “immersion” in the Holy Spirit. Water sprinkling or immersion is a symbolic action that declares the truth of a life immersed in the wonderful things of God . . . expressed through the many gifts of the Holy Spirit.

We have available here today a booklet prepared by Jan and Paul used in their family and the Aussie Praying Grandparents movement, titled the “Sorting Out Prayer.” This guides people through the process of forgiveness that heals us as we deal with un-forgiveness in our lives.

Find the freedom today of God’s wonderful grace that flows through hour lives and we practice forgiving others.

“Are you hurting and broken within
Overwhelmed by the weight of your sin
Jesus is calling
Have you come to the end of yourself
Do you thirst for a drink from the well
Jesus is calling

O come to the altar
The Father's arms are open wide
Forgiveness was bought with
The precious blood of Jesus Christ

Leave behind your regrets and mistakes
Come today there's no reason to wait
Jesus is calling
Bring your sorrows and trade them for joy
From the ashes a new life is born
Jesus is calling

Oh what a Savior
Isn't he wonderful
Sing alleluia Christ is risen
Bow down before him
For he is Lord of all
Sing alleluia Christ is risen

Bear your cross as you wait for the crown
Tell the world of the treasure you've found”

Kev shares a reading from the book of Jude:

“20 But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit,[g] 21 and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
22 And you must show mercy to[h] those whose faith is wavering. 23 Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others,[i] but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.[j]
24 Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. 25 All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.”

Jeremy, Edwina, Amelia, Jan, Jason and Mark, lead us in singing these words as an introduction to the message that Kev is bringing for us today-

"Verse 1
God forgave my sin in Jesus' name
I've been born again in Jesus' name
And in Jesus' name I come to you
To share His love as He told me to

Chorus
He said freely freely
You have received
Freely freely give
Go in My name
And because you believe
Others will know that I live

Verse 2
All pow'r is giv'n in Jesus' name
In earth and heav'n in Jesus' name
And in Jesus' name I come to you
To share His pow'r as He told me to"

Jeremy, Edwina, Amelia, Jan and Mark, lead us in singing -

"Verse 1
You made a covenant with me
Signed by the blood that still speaks
Now I'm forgiven I'm called righteous
I'm made clean
There on the cross at Calvary
You gave it all to purchase me
You are the Savior and the God Who set me free

Chorus
Now my heart cries
This is my Redeemer
With my whole life I will give You praise
All the glory to the One Who's worthy
Because of Jesus I have been changed

Verse 2
You made a way for me to enter
Into Your holy place forever
And now I’m hidden I am covered I found peace
Into your likeness You transform me
Making me holy like You're holy
No longer I who live but Christ Who lives in me

Bridge
You bring freedom to the captives
Good news to the poor
Healing to the broken
And joy to those who mourn
You turn ashes into beauty
The ruins You restore
I am a testimony
Of the goodness of the Lord

Ending
Because of Jesus I have been changed
Because of Jesus I have been changed"

The Songsters bless us with their singing of these words for us today:

"Lord, You know that we love You;
You know our thoughts and intentions,
Know the depth of devotion
Found in our lives today.
If our love has weakened, if our fervour has waned,
Turn us, Lord, by Your Spirit,
Let us love with love unfeigned.

Lord, You know that we love You!
Help that love to be true;
Fill our lives with Your Spirit’s power,
Lord of love, make us strong –
We who to Christ belong.

Lord, You know that we fail You;
Our sins, how sorely they grieve You!
Many times have we fallen;
Lord, lift us up again.
May we walk to be worthy of the call that is ours;
May Your will and Your purpose
Claim our undivided powers! . . ."

You make all things beautiful
In Your time
Lord my life to You I bring
May each song I have to sing
Be to You a lovely thing
In Your time

You deserve the glory

Angela prays, you Lord are the beginning and the end of all creation, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You are worthy of our deepest devotion.
