GOD'S NUMBERS (part 3)

GOD IS ONE

“Great is the mystery of Godhead”. There is a lot of confusion about this subject. Are there three Gods or is He one? How many Gods do we worship? It is a mystery. A great mystery ! Friend, I would encourage you at this stage to says this prayer in your heart before we proceed:

“Dear Lord Jesus Christ, may you please come into my heart and reveal to me this mystery of Godhead in such a way that I will understand. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen”

This is an important subject and hence why it is a bit lengthy. It is important as it determines a lot of things. The way you understand this subjects determines the way you live as a Christian. It determines how you approach God. It will even determine how you are baptised when you accept Christ. And it determines whether you will get an answer when you approach Him. Remember the Syrophoenician woman in Matthew 15:21-28, did not get a response when she called Him “son of David”. She only got Him to respond when she called Him, “Lord”. Why? Because she was not a Jew and had not right calling Him son of David at that time. See, Even your approach to Him and your approach to life will revolve around how you know Him.

1st Timothy 3 : 16 says, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

The Bible clears states that God is one. Deuteronomy 6 : 4 says, “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:”

Why then do people talk about the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit? Are these 3 Gods. Good question. It is a great mystery. But, remember, there is a promise that these mysteries will be revealed in the last days (Revelation 10:7, Matthew 17:11 and Malachi 4:5-6) when He sends His Messenger to reveal and restore these things that got lost in the dark ages. Therefore, now we have the answer in these last days.

The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost (Spirit) are 3 manifestations of the one true God. God is a Spirit (John 4:24) and in the beginning He was in such a form that no one could see Him. He has then always veiled Himself behind something so that we can see Him.
The first time He made Himself visible was when He made himself into a Light. He birthed Himself into a visible form called the Logos. That’s that Light which Moses saw. Ezekiel also saw It. That’s that Light which Paul also saw. And it has appeared again in these last days. Just a question for you to think about. Compare Genesis 1 vs 3 and Genesis 1 vs 14-16. One would think the sun was created twice, on the first day and then on the fourth. A closer look at this verse shows that the description of the greater light in verses 14-16 shows that the sun was created on the fourth day. So what was appeared in genesis 1 verse 3? If you are careful, depending on which version of the Bible you are using, you will see that Light in verse 3 has a capital letter “L”. That’s a clue.

After that first visible thing (Light), He kept veiling Himself behind many masks. Remember the story when Moses saw God as it were the back part of a Man (Exodus 33:23). Abraham saw Him as Melchizedek (Hebrews 7:1-4). That is God showing Himself in another form. Abraham again met Him as a Man who could eat like all men (Genesis 18). In many ways did He show Himself to the prophets and sages in the Old Testament. He was manifesting Himself so that people will have an idea who He was while He was preparing to come reveal Himself in a Masterpiece.

Finally, the Masterpiece came. God became flesh and He, through the instrumentality of Mary a virgin, was born Jesus, the Christ. Same God now veiled in a body called Jesus. In Jesus Christ dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead in a body form (Colossians 2:9), which came to be baby, a toddler, a child, a teenager, a young man and an adult. But in essence God’s Behaviour and Person did not change when He came as Jesus. He was the same Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Raah, Jehovah Rapha etc. He healed as the Pillar of Fire (Light) in the days of Moses when they looked at the Brazen serpent. He also healed in Jesus’ days. He did not change. Though He changed masks, He did not change His Personality. The same Person was now in Jesus reconciling the world to Himself.

After Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection, He ascended on High and sent the same Person back to the church to fill individuals with His Spirit. That happened on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2). This is when He inaugurated the church. How? By pouring Himself into human hearts to continue His work in human flesh. The same Person, with the same behaviours and with the same Personallity, now in His children (us).

See that is the equation. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8). In summary, God’s journey to us was as follows:
God above us - Old Testament
God with us (Emmanuel) - The 4 gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John)
God in us - the rest of the New Testament till today, until His second coming.
That’s what He always wanted to do, to dwell in us.

So from today, do not be confused. God is one. He is one God using three offices. Not three gods using one office.

2. NO LAW BUT LOVE

There is only one “law”. The “law” is LOVE.

Matthew 22: 35-40, says
“Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

If you love the Lord, then you will automatically love others. “If we say we love God and hate our neighbour we are liars,” 1st John chapter 4 explains all this. Many know that Jesus said, “love your enemies and do good to them that hate you.”(Luke 6:27).

Let us be honest, this is beyond human love. This is THE LOVE that we must all strive to get to. It is perfect love. You can see that this can’t be a law because human nature will always find this difficult. This did not come automatically with our natural birth. Our human nature is to love those who show love to us. It is human nature to return good to those who are good to you. But the above verses show that, though that is good, it is not perfect. If you notice in the first quoted verses, He did not say, “thou shalt love thy nice friend as thyself”. He did not say, “ thou shalt love the lovable type as thyself”. He did not say, “thou shalt love those who agree with you as thyself”.

I could put many other things here that He did not say. I just have one more. He did not say, “thou shalt love those that have the same doctrine as thyself”. Or in other words, did He say, “thou shalt love only those who go to the same church as thyself”? He said that you should love your neighbour as yourself. Now the next question is, who is your neighbour? Jesus was asked the same question and His answer was a parable of the Good Samaritan, (Luke 10:30-37). The story explains well what this love is about.

TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF REAL LOVE
There are two different types of love that are real love. One of them is called “Agapao” in Greek. That’s God’s love. And then a perverted love from that is called “Phileo'' love. This means “human love.” “Phileo” comes from the word “fellowship.” The Phileo love is what you have for your wife. And if another man flirts with her or insults her and you’d shoot his brains out or at least be jealous. That’s what “Phileo” love will do. It accompanies jealousy. And many other things go with it. But Agapao love would make you pray for that man’s sinful soul. That’s the difference between the two loves. God’s love is the beginning of love. It’s the fountain of love.

And the church today is lacking in that, that real Agapao love that makes you have love for your enemy. It lacks that love that makes one love the person who is unloveable. And that is why the church is not progressing.

HOW DO YOU GET THIS LOVE?
You will see by now that the only way to love right is to have the Agapao love controlling the “phileo”. Not the other way round. Phileo has its failures if not controlled by Agapao. If not guided by Agapao, it will think that wrong is right and right is wrong. So, the next question is, how do you get this love?

The answer lies in the fact that God is love and to have Him in your heart is to have this Agapao love. Only by God’s Spirit is this love shed abroad in our hearts. Romans 5:5. Everything else is fake. That is a strong statement to be said, but this is proven to be true by the fact that this love makes things happen. This love produces miracles. When you pray for someone to be healed you will need to love them and enter the fellowship of their suffering. It is the same love that is expressed in this verse; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16).

You will see how a man conquered a maniac who was about to kill him, just by loving him. You will see how a man even prayed for an animal that was dying and it lived again, just by this love. You will also see how God used the love of a mother deer for its fawn to convert a raw sinner to Jesus Christ. It takes love for those miracles to happen. There is no power above the power of the Love of God.

PRAYER:
May God grant us that we keep pressing on until we get to that perfect love.

God's Numbers

ONE

The meditations around the number "ONE" are inspired by the following famous quotation:

"And in here, we don’t have no creed but Christ, that’s the creed; and no law but love; no book but the Bible. And Christ is the Head; and the Bible is our textbook; the world is my parish. "


And this Bible passage:

Ephesians 4:4 - 6

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

So as we start off this series, we will look at:

One "Law" = LOVE
One Book
One Faith
One God
One Baptism

There is more to this number "One" and more will be included in the book that is currently in the making, but for now I will give the highlights in the next series of posts.

THE WAY TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS

Maybe this was you in 2022. When you ran out of food, you ran to the Lord, and you said, "Jehovah-Jireh, You are my Provider." He then provided your needs. . When you lacked peace, you ran to the Lord and pleaded, "Jehovah-Shalom, You are my Peace." He then gave you peace. One time, you needed protection and went back to Him saying, "Jehovah-Nissi, you are my banner." And you were shielded. You came to a point where you needed His leadership and direction. This meant you could come to Him and said, "Jehovah-Raah, You are my Shepherd," and He showed you the way to green pastures. Then you felt guilty and ran to Him and said, "Jehovah- Tsidkenu, You are my Righteousness" And maybe in the later part of the year you got sick and you came to Him and said, "Jehovah-Rapha, You are my Healer" and the faithful Lord healed you.When you became lonely you ran to Him again and shouted, "Jehovah-Shammah, You are Present with me." And He became present with you. This was all done for you. You even have testimonies to encourage you because some, if not all of this, happened to you this year. That's wonderful. But that sounds like you are running around in circles, running for this, and that whenever you needed it. Yet show I thee a more excellent way.

Maybe this coming year, you can do better. Receive the Lord Jesus Christ in the Experience of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and you will stop running for every little thing that you need. When you receive the genuine Holy Ghost, you will have received all the redemptive blessings of Jehovah locked up within your heart. No more running around my brother / my sister. If you need provision, its already in you. If you need healing, its in you. If you need this and that, it is in you by the Baptism of The Holy Ghost. No more running around, labouring sweating. You have now entered into rest (the True Sabbath) Hebrew 4 : 1 - 11.

So how do we enter into this rest. The answer is found in Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Let's break that down just a little:
REPENT - this is not supposed to be a scary word. But turn away from your sins and turn to God.
BE BAPTISED - in the correct way found in that verse.
RECEIVE YE THE HOLY GHOST - Yes, go all the way to the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Stop fire fighting. Get the Chief Fire Fighter.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

The subject of the Holy Ghost is very important and yet the most avoided subject by many ministers.

Wise Men and Women Still Follow The Star

Matthew 2:1-2
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

There was something peculiar about the Star that the 3 wise men were following. There were millions of stars in the sky, but this one led to The Lord Jesus Christ.

While we remember the birth of Jesus Christ this Christmas, let's remember that God is expecting us to come like those wise men to worship Jesus Christ the King. Christ is the reason for Christmas. There is more detail about how Christmas started but today let's just use Christmas for the right reason. Let's be sure that the star we are following is leading us to the Christ. There is many stars but … Wise man or woman, is the Star you are following leading you to Jesus Christ?

Greetings. I trust you are doing well. This page is aimed at encouraging you in your walk. If you have not received the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal saviour, this may be a good starting point for you to make that momentous decision. If you have received the Lord Jesus Christ, this may help you as you grow in Christ.

For those who are seasoned Christians, take this as just some meditations of a fellow pilgrim.
