“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” - A.W. Tozer

Last Sunday in "Songs for the Soul", we looked at Psalm 116 and what happens when we remember who God really is.

When life feels difficult, it can be easy to start believing that God is distant, too busy, or somehow absent from what we’re walking through.

But Psalm 116 paints a very different picture - a God who hears us, who is close, who is gracious and compassionate, and who delivers.

And remembering that changes something in us. It allows our souls to rest in the goodness of God, even when our circumstances haven’t changed. And from that place, worship becomes a response to who He is and what He has done.

“Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.” — Psalm 116:7

What do you do when your faith feels uncertain?

We often think faith means having all the answers. But the Psalms paint a different picture.

They show us people who wrestled with questions, experienced doubt, and wondered where God was - yet they kept bringing their hearts honestly before Him.

Last Sunday in our current teaching unit "Songs for the Soul", we explored what it means to trust God when faith itself feels uncertain.

The good news is that God isn't threatened by our questions. He welcomes them. Our doubts don't push Him away, and our uncertainty doesn't disqualify us from coming to Him.

Faith isn't pretending we have everything figured out. It's choosing to keep turning towards a God who remains faithful, even when we don't have all the answers.

🎧 If you missed Sunday's message, or you'd like to listen again, it's now available on our podcast. We hope it encourages you wherever you find yourself on the journey of faith 💙

What does your soul reach for when it feels empty?

When life feels full, it's easy to keep pushing through. We tell ourselves we're just tired, busy, or in need of a holiday.

Sometimes that's true.

But sometimes the restlessness we feel is actually a deeper invitation.

The Psalms remind us that our souls were created for God's presence. We can fill our schedules, scroll a little longer, distract ourselves, or keep striving - but none of those things truly satisfy the thirst deep within us.

This week, maybe take a few quiet minutes to pause and ask yourself:

What does my soul really need today?

God isn't waiting for you to have it all together before you come to Him. He simply invites you to come - and promises to meet you there.

"As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, my God." Psalm 42:1

Such a great couple of weeks in church 💙
From baptisms, to Missions spotlights, to all the in-between moments that make church feel like home - we’re grateful for what God’s been doing in and through our church family.

And we’re not done yet 👀

Our new series, Songs for the Soul, drops this Sunday - a journey through the Psalms and the real, honest seasons of life we all find ourselves in. Pressure, doubt, disappointment, joy, longing, praise… it’s all in there.

Can’t wait for this one. See you Sunday 🙌
