Yesterday, I officiated my last wedding ceremony. For the last 16 years I have worked shift work, firstly as a wedding coordinator, then as a police officer, and finally as a celebrant. And now it’s time for my evenings and weekends to be spent with my little family - my gorgeous girl started prep and my beautiful boy started kinder this year, which means weekends are the only full days we get together. And they are quickly filling up with kids activities, birthday parties, weekends away and catch ups!
In the four years that I have been privileged to be a celebrant, I have performed 61 ceremonies, I have met the most amazing people, I have worked alongside some incredible vendors, I have been to some of the most beautiful wedding venues in Victoria, I have been honoured to marry several good friends, and I have met and gotten to know the most wonderful brides and grooms. I have loved every minute of this journey and I will miss this job, but I am excited to have time to spend with my babies (while they still want me around!) 🩷
Thank you to everyone who chose me to be part of their wedding day, to everyone who supported me in my training and business, to my parents and sister for the countless hours of babysitting, and to my wonderful and endlessly supportive husband, I could not have done this without you xx
