CONGRATULATION to RCIA and RCIC team and the new members of our church!
This year, with 486 people gathered in prayer, our parish joyfully welcomed 6 adults and 4 children
into the Church. Amongst them were 2 mothers
entered the Catholic faith together with their children, embracing the journey as a family.
We warmly welcome them to the Catholic faith and the Church.

What a wonderful way to start the year with great catechism of an important time in our history.

Pope Leo’s 2026 Catechesis Series, will be dedicated to Vatican Council II and a rereading of its documents to help us to truly understand them and not the interpretations or misrepresentations they have associated with them.

“I feel more than ever in duty bound to point to the Council as the great grace bestowed on the Church in the twentieth century.”

“It will be important to get to know it again closely, and to do so not through ‘hearsay’ or interpretations that have been given, but by rereading its documents and reflecting on their content.”

Christmas says God does not leave us helpless and hurting. His Christmas gift to us is everything, everything He is, His very self.

Not in the wrappings of divinity or ribbons of kingship, but in human flesh and swaddling. Under our tree there lies a most unexpected Christmas gift: a baby Saviour.

Embrace Him in return, the infant God whose arms are stretched out wide for you! May God bless you and your loved ones this Christmas.

Happy feast day for Our Lady of Guadalupe 🙏

On this day in 1531, Our Lady appeared to a humble peasant man in what is now Mexico, Juan Diego and directed him to gather up some roses in his apron and take them to the bishop.

Back at the Bishop’s office, the roses tumbled out in front of the prelate and his assistants who, to Juan’s surprise, immediately fell to their knees in front of him.

For there, miraculously imprinted on Juan's tilma, was La Virgen Morena, the image of a brown-skinned woman at prayer, dressed in the gown of an Aztec princess and the cincture of a pregnant woman, and standing on the moon with an angel proclaiming her.

Following Our Lady’s appearances, the Mexicans amazingly converted en masse in the following decade to Christianity. May the Advent Woman of Guadalupe, pregnant with possibilities, with life and hope, ready us to welcome the Christ-child into the mangers of our hearts. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!

Congratulations Fr. Thu, as we celebrated the Rite of Installation on Sunday. His powerful witness of love and care for our Parish has been welcomed. We pray for him and the community as we journey together.

Glory to God in the highest 🙏

Jesus’ disciples presented Him as the long-hoped-for universal king in their preaching, devotions, art and sacred music.

Yet in Jesus there is nothing of the military acumen of David, the courtly splendour of Solomon, nor the grandeur of a medieval Holy Roman Emperor.

Pilate half acknowledges and half mocks Jesus’ kingship. But as he hears Jesus say Himself, His kingdom is like no other.

Now our job is to place the cross on top of this world, subjecting earthly affairs to the divine will and offering all the globe the salvation won upon the cross.
