π± Giving Lawn 10 Time to Grow π±
Eve caught up with Austin this morning to inspect the newly established lawn areas within the Lawn Plaque Cemetery, particularly Lawn 10, Rows Lilium and Violet.
While the lawn established well initially, it has been impacted by the activities of Native Hens and wallabies. To support its continued growth and allow it to become more resilient to wildlife impacts, temporary fencing has been reinstated and will remain in place for approximately eight weeks.
We understand the fencing may be inconvenient for visitors; however, these measures are important to protect the lawn and ensure these memorial spaces remain well-presented for the families who visit and reflect here.
We are also continuing to work with our Council colleagues and Wildlife Services to investigate options to reduce the impacts of wildlife on memorial areas throughout the park.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we care for and maintain these important spaces for our community.
