The Power Of Thanksgiving

“Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.” (Jer. 30:19, NKJV).

Here God is talking about a people of faith in God and in His word. Faith sees future result and thank God in present circumstances. Faith with thanksgiving declares those things that are not as though they were already a reality. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb.11:1). Faith with thanksgiving brings the answers to our prayers into the ‘now’ realm.

By the power of faith, therefore, we can thank God in our circumstances for what we see in our faith reality. By faith we use the weapon of thanksgiving to destroy doubts, negate negative voices, guard against double-mindedness, conquer fear and most of all exalt God as always greater and our Most High.

The Bible tells us that the attitude of thanksgiving will: 1) make us merry, 2) make us grow, 3) make us glorious (god-fearing, brilliant, wise, strong), 4) productive and prosperous. Thanksgiving is an attitude, an action and an intentional weapon to destroy blockages to miracles.

No wonder God instructs us, “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thess. 5:18). Thank Him today.

I thank God for who He is, for what He can do for me and for what He will do through me.

Outlive And Outlast Your Enemies

“In everything (David) did, he had great success, because the Lord was with him. When Saul saw how successful he was, he was afraid of him. But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he led them in their campaigns.” 1 Sam. 18:14-16.

When God is with you, He will automatically be for you and the result will be obvious grace and favor in your life. When we invite Jesus Christ into our hearts, He comes in with His greatness, power, love, wisdom and goodness. The outcome of success begins as the process and principles of success are applied.

Success attracts two kinds of people:
1) Friends who are like-minded and aiming for success themselves will be drawn to you for relationship, networking, encouragement, mentorship and mutual benefits.

2) Enemies with jealousy, fear and intimidation might attempt treachery.

Saul was jealous and intimidated by David when the purity in David showed up the poison in him; the strength of David showed up the weaknesses of Saul; the faith in David showed up the fear in Saul; the people’s love for David showed up the loss of favor in Saul’s life. They danced and sang, “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands.” (1 Sam. 18:7). Jealousy destroyed Saul.

God will surely bless you and when He does, you might have those who are against you. Plan your response if this happens: “What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for me, who can be against me?” (Rom. 8:31). Stay with God, and outlive and outlast your enemies.

SEE The Glory Of God

“Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?" John 11:40.

Mary, Martha and Lazarus were sisters and brother and friends of Jesus. As in most families each child has their own personality and grace. Mary was the emotional, spoilt, but adoring fan of Jesus. Martha was the perfectionist, hardworking and practical sister who also loved Jesus.

Lazarus their brother became sick and the sisters sent for Jesus to come and heal him. Jesus was delayed in ministry and by the time he arrived, Lazarus was dead for four days. When Martha heard that Jesus was on His way to them, she went out to meet Him for a private conversation because before Him she could let her guard down and express her pain. “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.” (John 11:21,22). Note Martha the perfectionist had to first mention that He was late, but now that you are here, all things are possible.

Jesus coached her in faith to believe that He is the Resurrection and the Life. Nothing is over until God says it is over. What ever is closed can be opened by God. Jesus is the Author and Finisher of life. Her faith in God would make her see the resurrection glory of God and she did. The CHAYIL (powerful great) Glory of Jesus was greater than death. If you believe today you will also see the glory of God in your life with miracles.

I believe in the King of Glory and I shall see His Glory in all areas of my life.
