Recipe for a Blessed Life

"Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in his commands." Ps. 112:1.

This Psalm begins with the writer praising God, followed by his recipe for a blessed life:

1) Praise the Lord.
It is hard to praise God and complain at the same time. It is hard to praise God and doubt His power. It is hard to praise God and not be lifted out of depression, fear, and discouragement. As your praises go up, your blessings will come down.

2) Fear God.
To fear God means to respect, revere, and value God as our Creator and Heavenly Father. As children are expected to respect their parents and honor them as their source of provision, wisdom, and protection, so our relationship with God as His sons and daughters gives us the privilege of His care, protection and provision.

3) Delight in His Word.
The Word of God has transforming power; motivating power; and mobilizing power. Truth releases power and freedom while deception enslaves and keeps people in bo***ge to lies. William Lyon Phelps, former Professor at Yale University says: "I believe that knowledge of the Bible without a college education is more valuable than a college education without the Bible." Enjoy your blessed life.

Kingdom Declaration:
I am loved, appreciated, and blessed by God.

God's promises us His Peace

"Again, Jesus said, 'Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.'" (John 20:21).

God promise us His peace - a peace that is beyond understanding; a peace that holds you in times of trouble; a peace that keeps your mind when trouble tries to overwhelm; a peace that preserves and protects you when you are vulnerable; and a peace that keeps you amid a storm until it passes over.

With God's peace within us, we also become His agents of peace in a world that is filled with insecurities and fear. We become His voice that will share the good news of His love and forgiveness; His vessel of power that will set people free from their sins, failures and mistakes. What a privilege to be a vessel of God's hope, love, joy, and peace.

Some of the most popular advice that people seeks from Professional Counsellors are about relationship turmoil; and fear and worry about health, money, and family. People are looking for peace but can't seem to find it. Peace is no longer common in hearts, families, and nations. But there is an answer - Jesus is called the Prince of Peace and His peace is available to all who needs it and asks for it. Believe and receive His Peace that is greater than all your fears.

Kingdom Declaration:
The peace of God in me is greater than all my fears.

God's Kingdom of Glory

"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Matt. 16:19).

God has given His sons and daughters on earth spiritual authority to exercise spiritual power as Kingdom Enforcers. Jesus taught us to pray: "Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." (Matt. 6:10). An emphasis of Jesus' teaching while on Earth was about His Kingdom. He taught us to pray to enforce it; pray to preserve it; pray to populate it; and pray to advance it.

The Kingdom of God on earth is spiritual. It is the presence of God in hearts, lives, homes, societies, and territories. Wherever Jesus Christ is invited in to save, control, protect, and provide, He becomes King and sets up His Kingdom to rule and reign. Whenever the Kingdom of God is in the heart of believers they become heirs of His power, glory, and peace.

David lived with this revelation and walked in its manifestation defeating giants, possessing kingdoms, and overcoming all that Satan forged against him. "Through the victories you gave, his (David) glory is great; you have bestowed on him splendor and majesty." (Ps 21:5). God's Kingdom of glory is in you to glorify you as He did David and His disciples, "Christ in you, is the hope of Glory."

Kingdom Declaration:
The Kingdom of God is in me with righteousness, peace, and joy.

Nevertheless Champions

"Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty warrior. His father was Gilead; his mother was a pr******te. Gilead's wife also bore him sons, and when they were grown up, they drove Jephthah away. "You are not going to get any inheritance in our family," they said, "because you are the son of another woman." Judges 11:1,2. "Jephthah led Israel six years. Then Jephthah the Gileadite died, and was buried in a town in Gilead." Judges 12:7.

Here was a man that was born in negative circumstances. He was the son of a pr******te and as a boy was thrown out of his father's home by his step-brothers. Nevertheless, he became a 'mighty warrior'. He became a great Judge and deliverer of Israel. Some of the world's greatest people faced the world's greatest challenges, but they overcame them.

Franklin Roosevelt had to overcome paralysis and nevertheless, he became the only President of the United States elected to more than two terms. Albert Einstein was called a slow learner, mentally challenged, written off as uneducable and nevertheless, he became the father of modern physics. Helen Keller was born blind and deaf and nevertheless, yet she graduated college with highest honors and impacted the world. Golda Meir was a divorced grandmother from Milwaukee and nevertheless, she became Israel's first and only woman Prime Minister. Abraham Lincoln was the son of illiterate farmers. He experienced great personal tragedy and battled depression for much of his life, yet he is known as The Great Emancipator of slavery and America's 16th President.

Once you believe in the 'Nevertheless God', then you can become a 'Nevertheless Champion' regardless of what life throws at you.

Kingdom Declaration:
It is never too late for a Nevertheless miracle from our Nevertheless God.

God doesn't want you to minimize the difficulty of what you are walking through right now, He just wants you to maximize an understanding that whatever your circumstance is — He is greater.

God's help is available to you

"This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the Lord Almighty. 'What are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of "God bless it! God bless it!'" (Zech. 4:6,7).

Zerubbabel started a huge project to lead the first group of Jewish exiles from Babylon back to Jerusalem, and to rebuild the demolished temple that was there. With great zeal he began the project but soon, two problems arose. A few old men negated the project and discouraged the people. Then the enemies infiltrated Jerusalem by using political pressure, fear, and intimidation to stop the building of the project.

Zerubbabel, like many of us knew how to start off well, but found it hard to keep going when the going got tough. His discouragement led to despair so God sent two prophets to remind and encourage him: "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you." Zechariah 4:9. God also told him how the temple would be completed: "Not by man's might not by man's power but by the Spirit of the Lord Almighty."

When you face a mountain of hindrances that threatens your plan, hope and purpose - pray and activate the supernatural power of God to override your limitations, frustrations, and challenges with His might and supernatural power. David's King of Glory, EL CHAYIL, is mighty to save, deliver, and give you the victory.

Kingdom Declaration:
The Lord my God is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him.
