Do you want a practical way you and/or your church can support people experiencing homelessness in the South Burnett? Welcome to Winter Shelter.

We're hosting an Information Night on Tuesday 29th September at 6:30pm, to see if there is enough interest to start this service in the South Burnett.

Winter Shelters provide churches and communities with a coordinated approach to making a practical impact, offering warmth and hospitality to individuals experiencing homelessness during the coldest months of the year.

It's hard to know what to do or say when we see a disaster like the one unfolding in Nepal.

Sometimes, though, the most meaningful thing we can do is simply pray.

If you’re able, please take a moment to pray for the people of Nepal. And if you’re not sure what to pray, perhaps these words can help:

"God of comfort and hope, we pray for the people of Nepal as they face grief, loss and uncertainty. Please be close to those who are hurting, those searching for loved ones, and those working to bring rescue and relief. Strengthen all who are offering practical help and support. Bring comfort, courage and hope where they are needed most. Amen."

But the troubles of yesterday don’t get the final word. God’s faithfulness does.

Every morning is a fresh reminder that God is faithful. His love hasn’t run out. His compassion and grace hasn’t dried up. And whatever today holds, we don’t face it alone.
