GREAT THINGS | EVERYDAY PEOPLE | EXTRAORDINARY GOD | ETERNAL IMPACT.

Coming out of Generocity Conference 2026, there’s a fresh reminder of what we’re called to be as a church.

The theme, Great Things, centres around a simple but powerful truth: God has always used everyday people to make an eternal impact with our extraordinary God.

It’s not about how talented we are, how capable we feel, or what we can achieve in our own strength. It’s about knowing Jesus, growing in Him, learning to live like Him and sharing His love with the people around us.

Our mission as Generocity Church is to make disciples of courageous influence. People whose faith doesn’t stop at Sunday, but overflows into their homes, workplaces, friendships and communities.

We believe the local church is about more than gathering together. It’s about becoming a community where lives are restored, faith grows, people discover their God-given purpose and the love of Jesus reaches beyond our walls.

And that’s our heart for Kiama.

We are everyday people, serving an extraordinary God, believing that the things He does in and through us can have an eternal impact.

We are so excited for GC Conference this weekend.

As a result, there is no Sunday service at GC Kiama. We look forwad to seeing you there. If you are not travelling to it you can still be part of conference by watching the livestream on the Generocity Church Youtube Page.

There’s something pretty special about having purpose. Knowing why you do what you do, and knowing that God is right there with you in the middle of it all.

Today was full of those little moments where God’s Word found its way into everyday conversations.

A friend mentioned that it seems we always land on our feet. We got chatting about seeking God first, and I mentioned the words of Jesus:

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
Matthew 6:33, NLT

I shared how I genuinely believe God is so kind to us. That when we truly try to put Him first, we can trust that He sees us, cares for us and is faithful to look after the rest.

It was just one of those really lovely conversations where faith naturally became part of everyday life.

A little later, I was chatting with another lady who said she was just “plodding along”. It reminded me of a verse I’d been thinking about:

“Steady plodding brings prosperity; hasty speculation brings poverty.”
Proverbs 21:5, The Living Bible

I shared it with her and she responded, “Oh, I must be very prosperous then.”

And I just love these moments.

Knowing God is with us. Knowing His Word. Being ready to share the hope we have, not just from a stage or behind a pulpit, but right in the middle of everyday life.

Sometimes sharing Jesus looks like a big conversation. Sometimes it’s a simple comment, an encouragement, a verse we remember, or a moment that opens the door to something more.

We don’t have to force it. We just need to know Him, know His Word, be present, and be ready to share what God has placed in our hearts.

“Always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have.”
1 Peter 3:15, NLT

What an opportunity we have to carry the hope of Jesus into the most ordinary conversations.

Let’s keep showing up, loving people well, and being ready to share the hope we have in Him.

No, that’s not Jesus…

That’s Shannon McCutcheon, dressed as Jesus; and honestly, if Jesus is our role model for how to live, we reckon that’s a pretty great place to start.

This Sunday, Shannon, his wife Elle, and their children are joining us at Generocity Church Kiama to encourage us and share what they’ve been learning and growing in.

We’re passionate about everyday people encountering the love of God, knowing Jesus, and becoming more like Him.

We can’t wait to hear what Shannon and Elle will bring to help us grow in knowing Jesus, not just knowing about Him, but actually learning what it looks like to follow Him in everyday life.

💛 FATHER’S DAY AT GENEROCITY CHURCH.

Come celebrate Father’s Day with us this Sunday FROM 9:30-11am

We’re looking forward to a great morning together as we honour the dads, grandads, spiritual fathers and father figures who love, lead and make a difference in the lives of those around them.

There’ll be plenty to celebrate, great community, worship and an encouraging discussion as we gather together.
