Hills Community Church of the Nazarene (Kenthurst)

Hills Community Church of the Nazarene (Kenthurst) A diverse family for Christ serving the local and wider community; showing love, acceptance and compassion to all

The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, tracing its roots to an anniversary date of 1908. It was founded to spread the message of scriptural holiness (Christlike living) across the lands. Today the Church of the Nazarene is located in 156 world areas. The Church of the Nazarene is a Great Commission church. Our mission is to make Christlike d

isciples in the nations. We believe that God offers to everyone forgiveness, peace, joy, purpose, love, meaning in life, and the promise of heaven when life is over by entering and experiencing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We are called to take this message to people everywhere. The Church of the Nazarene is also a holiness church. We believe that Christians can experience a deeper level of life in which there is victory over sin, power to witness and serve, and a richer fellowship with God, all through the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Hills Community Church of the Nazarene is a group of believers who love and follow Jesus. We meet for worship in the semi-rural community of Kenthurst in the north-west outskirts of Sydney. Our heart is to love and serve the people of Kenthurst and the wider community. We are a family church just supporting, encouraging and empowering each other on our journeys. If you'd like more information about who we are and what we're all about, we'd love to hear from you! Regular Activities:
Sunday 10:00am - Praise and Worship Service
Tuesday 7:30pm - Small Groups
Wednesday 10:30am - Living Life (Ladies' Bible Study)

"Nepal was struck by a devastating flash flood along the Bhotekoshi River, particularly affecting communities in Rasuwa and neighboring districts. Homes, roads, bridges, markets, and infrastructure were swept away, leaving communities devastated and hundreds of people unaccounted for.

As rescue and recovery operations continue amid difficult weather conditions, let us pause and pray for Nepal

Today, we join in prayer for the people of Colombia following the earthquake reported today.

Let us pray for those facing moments of uncertainty.
Let us pray for those grieving the loss of a loved one.
Let us pray for the medical and rescue teams, that they may be strengthened and guided by God.
Let us pray for the Church of Christ, that, united, it may bring help and extend its hands with love, & support.

🤝You can support Nazarene churches as they reach out with Christ’s love in the wake of this developing crisis. To give, visit ncm.org/venezuelaFB.

On June 24, two powerful earthquakes struck northern Venezuela just seconds apart, causing widespread destruction. The disaster comes at a dire time for Venezuela, which was already enduring a political and financial crisis. Authorities have declared a national state of emergency, with at least 920 people confirmed dead, thousands injured, and millions of people affected. Search and rescue efforts continue as many people remain missing.

Nazarene church leaders are currently assessing damage to congregations and surrounding neighborhoods.

Initial reports indicate that several church buildings have sustained damage, including one congregation that can no longer meet after the movie theater they rented was severely affected. While no church members have been displaced from their homes, some members have lost their livelihoods as businesses and workplaces collapsed. In addition, several Nazarene pastors are awaiting news of missing family members.

Local churches are coordinating a compassionate response and preparing to provide food, medical care, construction materials, and other practical assistance in the days and weeks to come.

Please join us in praying for the people of Venezuela. Pray for those who are grieving, for those with missing family members, for survivors and first responders, and for church leaders as they bring Christ's love and hope to their communities in the days ahead. 💙🇻🇪

Today we join the hundreds of voices crying out to God for Venezuela 🇻🇪

Take a moment to cry out to the Lord for those going through times of fear and uncertainty, for those grieving the loss of a loved one, for the medical and rescue teams, that they may be strengthened and guided by God, and for the Church of Christ, that together it may bring help and extend its hands in support and solidarity.

We stand with you, our Venezuelan brothers and sisters, and with our sister region, South America.

Pentecost reminds us that the Church was never meant to run on human strength alone.
The Holy Spirit came with power, purpose, and presence, empowering ordinary people to carry the hope of Jesus to the nations.

That same Spirit is still moving today.
Still calling.
Still sending.
Still transforming lives. 🔥
