Double Your Impact This EOFY — Help Build the Kiribati Desalination Water Plant
As we approach the end of the financial year, I’m reaching out with an opportunity to make a truly life-changing impact — one that will be doubled instantly through a generous dollar-for-dollar matching offer.
Fr Roger Purcell msc has launched an appeal to help fund one of our largest overseas projects: the construction of a Desalination Water Plant in Kiribati. With a target of $195,000, several supporters have already pledged to match every donation we receive. This means your gift today will go twice as far. A $50 donation becomes $100 toward the project. A $200 donation becomes $400. Every contribution is doubled.
Bishop Simon Mani msc, Bishop of Tarawa and Nauru, shared how urgently this project is needed. “It hardly ever rains here and people rely on ground water and half-full water tanks.” The new desalination plant will provide reliable, safe drinking water for the community, and local residents will be trained to operate and maintain the system — ensuring long‑term sustainability.
To honour the generosity of our supporters, larger donors will be acknowledged on a Generosity Honour Board to be placed near the site. We will also recognise dedicated donations made in memory of loved ones.
Your tax-deductible gift before June 30 will have double the impact and help bring clean, life-sustaining water to the people of Kiribati.
Thank you for your compassion and support.
