The Conventual Franciscan Friars of the Australian Delegation of Our Lady Help of Christians are currently gathered for Assembly, together with Fr. Paul, our Minister Provincial, and Fr. Jude, our Assistant General for CFF. Please keep us in your prayers as we prayerfully discern the future of our jurisdiction and how the Holy Spirit is leading us. 🙏🏻

We have had great time for fraternity, prayer, Eucharist, sharing and discussion. A notable community building activity was coming together to help Fr. Tony whose car became bogged in the mud.

Tomorrow, 28th December, the Church celebrates the feast of the Holy Innocents, the infant boys that were killed by King Herod's men in their attempt to dispose of the promised Messiah.

This feast is a big day for our Kellyville community as it is the feast of our Franciscan Shrine of the Holy Innocents. Though we cannot have as big of a commemoration due to COVID restrictions, we still invite you to join us in person or virtually at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Kellyville NSW (8 Diana Ave, Kellyville - in the School Hall) at 10.00am for Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, followed by Holy Mass at 11.00am. https://www.facebook.com/OLOR.Parish.Kellyville

The grounds of the Franciscan Shrine of the Holy Innocents are open for visitors and pilgrims, though the chapel itself is sadly closed due to restrictions.

May the Holy Innocents intercede for all of us and our world during this trying time, and for an end to those things that exist to attack the sanctity of human life from conception till natural death. Amen!

Recently at our Inter-Provincial Novitiate in Arroyo Grande, California, five men were invested with the Holy Habit of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. They will spend this next 'year and a day' undergoing in-house classes on Franciscan life, spirituality, and history, as well as deepening their relationship with God and their brothers through a horarium of prayer, and ministry in and out of house.

The outgoing Novices were farewelled, and each have now professed their Simple Vows in their home Provinces. Our St. Bonaventure Province warmly welcomes two new brothers, who will now undergo university studies.

Our friars in England! Glory to God!!

The "Grey Friars" (aka Conventual Franciscans) have returned after almost 500 years to Our Lady's shrine in Walsingham for the conversion of England. They first came to Walsingham in 1347 but all of the 60 or so friaries in England were suppressed by King Henry VIII by 1538. Glory be to God!

On Friday, June 22, 2018, in the presence of their fellow confreres, family and friends, Our Lady of the Angels Province Friars; Fr. Maximilian Avila Pacheco, OFM Conv., Fr. Emanuel Vasconcelos, OFM Conv. and Fr. Luis Palacios Rodríguez, OFM Conv. were ordained to the Sacred Order of the Priesthood alongside Fr. Milton de Jesus of the Custody of Our Lady of Coromoto (Venezuela), by Our Lady of the Angels Province friar and Bishop of Savannah, The Most Reverend Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv., at Saint Louis Roman Catholic Church, in Buffalo, NY. From our Immaculate Conception Custody in Brazil, the Most Rev. Elias Manning, OFM Conv. (Bishop Emeritus of Valença) also served as Bishop in Attendance.
