A Joyful Announcement for St. Peter's Parish

Dear Parishioners,

It is with great joy and thanksgiving that we share the wonderful news that Archbishop Peter Comensoli has appointed Fr. Anil as the Parish Priest of St. Peter's Parish.

For more than two and a half years, Fr. Anil has faithfully served our parish as Administrator. Throughout this time, he has provided dedicated pastoral leadership, spiritual guidance, and compassionate care to our parish community. His commitment to the mission of the Church, his approachable nature, and his genuine concern for all parishioners have been a source of encouragement and blessing to many.

We are delighted that Fr. Anil will continue his ministry among us as our Parish Priest. His appointment brings a sense of stability, continuity, and hope as we continue to grow together as a community of faith, united in Christ and inspired by the Gospel.

On behalf of the entire parish community, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Fr. Anil and assure him of our prayers, support, and cooperation. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide and strengthen him in his ministry, and may God richly bless him with wisdom, good health, and abundant joy as he leads St. Peter's Parish into the future.

Let us give thanks to God for this blessing and keep Fr. Anil in our prayers as he begins this new chapter of service as our Parish Priest.

The St Vincent de Paul Society will be conducting its annual Winter Appeal this weekend (6 and 7 JUN 26). The attached video shows one of the many examples of how the Parish Family (school and church) of St Peter's East Keilor expresses its support for the wider community. Your support at Christmas brought joy to forty children, their families and people like David. Your donation this winter will help our volunteers continue these Good Works.

We prayed for our representatives in government in the prayers of the faithful and we had one of them with us at Mass. Deputy Premier, Education Minister and local representative Ben Carroll MP has been visiting us in recent times. Fr Anil and Ben had a chat about parish issues and we appreciate his care and support.

Come along at 5pm to honour Mother Mary with a procession and Rosary. Starting from St Peter's at Parkside Ave, we will process around a few blocks around the neighbourhood. Bring your electronic candles if you have them (or a real candle with something against the wind).
