What an incredible week we have just experienced together at the INC National Conference! We came home refreshed, challenged, encouraged, and filled with fresh vision for all that God is doing.

If you’ve never been before, we’d love to encourage you to come and experience it for yourself. Whether you’re a leader, serve on a team, or simply have a heart to grow deeper in your walk with God, this conference is an incredible opportunity to be equipped, inspired, and strengthened alongside thousands of believers.

For those wanting to stay where many of us will be, we’ll be booking our accommodation at Brisbane Gateway Resort, and we’d love for you to join us there. It’s a great opportunity to spend time together outside of the conference sessions, build friendships, and enjoy the journey as a church family.

Start putting it in your calendar, begin planning, and if possible, start setting a little aside each week so you’re ready when registrations open.

☕️🌿 A Different Kind of Growth This Holiday Break

As many of our midweek groups take a short break over the next couple of weeks, don’t let your spiritual growth take a holiday too.

Instead, see this as an opportunity.

Invite someone from church out for a coffee. Share a meal. Encourage one another. Pray together. Build the relationships that make the Body of Christ so strong.

But even more importantly…

Spend intentional time with God.

Slow down enough to hear His voice.

Seek His presence.

Open His Word.

Allow Him to search your heart and reveal what He wants to do in you before He does something through you.

Ask Him:
“Lord, what are You preparing me for?”
“What do You have in store for me next?”
“What areas of my life are You shaping during this season of rest?”

Rest is never wasted when it is spent in God’s presence. Often, the greatest preparation happens in the quiet seasons.

As we pause from some of our regular gatherings, let’s prepare ourselves for what God is calling us into next. Let’s allow Him to strengthen our character, deepen our faith, and align our hearts with His purpose.

Then, when the time comes, we’ll be ready to put our hand to the plough and serve wholeheartedly, without looking back.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5–6

We’re praying that this break refreshes you, strengthens your relationships, and draws you closer to Jesus than ever before. We can’t wait to gather together again soon!

Come expecting a great morning of worship, fellowship, encouragement, and God’s Word. After the service, we’ll be sharing a delicious lunch together, so we’d love for you to stay, connect, and enjoy some quality time as a church family.

📢 FIREPIT FRIDAY UPDATE

Church family, due to some changes in our personal circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue our Friday night Firepit gatherings.

We have absolutely loved the conversations, fellowship, laughter, and community that has been built around the fire over the years, and we are so grateful to everyone who has been a part of it.

While Friday night Firepit will no longer be running, our fortnightly Sunday Firepit gatherings will continue as normal as weather permits, and we would love to see you there. We also have many other opportunities throughout the week to connect, grow in faith, and do life together.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and grace during this season. We are excited about what God is doing and look forward to continuing to build strong community together.

This week we will be diving into Hebrews Chapter 4, exploring what it means to enter God’s rest, live by faith, and draw near to Jesus, our great High Priest.

This is not just a Bible teaching—it’s an interactive discussion where everyone is welcome to share insights, ask questions, and grow together in God’s Word.

Hi Church Family!

We are so excited that THIS SATURDAY is finally here and that we get to gather together in person again at 10:00 AM!

We would absolutely love to see every one of you there as we worship, encourage one another, and spend time together as a church family. If you’re able, why not invite a friend, neighbour, or family member to come along with you? There’s always room for more around the table!

After the service we’ll be sharing lunch together, so please bring a plate to share if you’re able.

We truly believe God is doing something special in Cessnock, and every person who comes helps make our church family stronger. We can’t wait to see you all and spend the morning together.
