This term is all about adventures at Heights Playgroup. One of the big adventures for children and their families is heading off to big school.

Tomorrow we'll be exploring school activities as we play with letters and numbers and read a book about starting school.

Join us from 9:30 to 11:30 at Heights Church.
(Don't forget to pack morning tea and a hat!)

Happy Mother's Day to all of our playgroup Mums!

Parenting is definitely a BIG adventure! We're so thankful that we get to be part of your journey in raising your children.

This week at playgroup the children will be celebrating their mums and creating some special gifts to let them know how loved they are.

Join us from 9:30-11:30 for singing, stories, free play and art exploration.

Due to the public holiday tomorrow, Heights Playgroup won't be on this week.

Why not have your own adventure as a family instead.
- Go for a bushwalk
- Build a pillow fort (a read a bunch of books together)
- Enjoy a BBQ or Picnic
- Try Geocaching (especially if you have older children as well)
- Bike or scooter ride together
- "Camp" in your loungeroom

Join us on Mondays for BIG ADVENTURES!

For young children, adventures are everywhere. Visiting relatives, going to the park, watching ants in the garden, or a rainy day at the beach. It's all an adventure.

This term we'll be exploring picture books that feature adventures in our weekly sessions. Each week there'll be singing, art activites and free play (plus coffee for the grown ups).

Heights Playgroup is for children aged birth to Kindy age and their parent or carer. We meet at Heights Church each Monday during school terms from 9:30 to 11:30.

Yesterday was International Mother Language Day which celebrates the role that languages have in cultural identity and education. On Monday we'll be celebrating the diverse cultures and languages represented by the families in our playgroup! Our cultural heritage is a part of what makes us who we are and is worth celebrating.

Join us for stories, songs and playtime (and perhaps a conversation with someone who knows a language you don't know yet!)

Young children learn a lot by observing others and imitating them. That's what next week's story is all about; a younger sibling who sees all the amazing things the older child can do and confidently declares, "Me Too!"

There's so much to learn and experience as we grow and we believe that playgroup is a great place for parents and children to be supported through the early years.

Join us on Monday morning from 9:30 for our first Heights Playgroup of 2026. This week we'll be exploring our names and creating paper bag puppet friends.

Whether you're looking for other parents in the area to connect with, kids for your child to play with or opportunities to explore creative play and art (without having to do ALL the clean up), we've got you sorted.

Today is a BIG day for some of our friends who are heading off to their first day of Prep or Kindy.

We are praying for you as you step out on this new adventure. Go and make new friends, read new books and learn all that you can about the amazing world that God has made.

It's a big adventure and one that we know you are ready to take.
