R U OK? 💛

Today is R U OK Day, Australia's National Day of Action which encourages people to have meaningful conversations with those around them who may be struggling with the ups and downs of life.

Make sure you go out of your way today to ask yourself and others 'Are you okay?' to help friends and family feel supported if they are struggling.
If you are struggling , it is never weak to speak and I encourage you to reach out to family, friends or a professional to help. 💛 You can message this page to find out how you can get help and support or call Lifeline on 14 11 14 There is help available for you and your struggles.

As Cyclone Alfred approaches our coast I want to encourage us to stay calm and keep your trust in God. The shops will open again and if you lose power it will come back.

So Yes… take precautions, secure your home, expect power outages, but remember God is in control. Speak hope, encouragement, faith to your family

If you need assistance please message this page. Keep a good supply of drinking water in containers, batteries for a torch and maybe some tins of food in case we lose power and refrigeration for a period of time. Tin food is more useful in these times than frozen food. I suggest you follow ABC radio and TV for news that is up to date without hype. They are the official broadcasters for emergencies.

Take care and stay safe. We have closed the church activities down for the rest of the week. This includes other groups as well. Keep our community in your prayers for safety and for God’s grace to sustain us.

Exciting news for our future church. Renovation has begun on the original 1860 church building. Originally at West Ipswich it was moved out to South Ripley in the early 1970’s. We have begun to renovate it in preparation for it to become a church for the community for groups to use and weddings as well as our new church starting later this year.
It’s exciting bringing this 164 year old building back to life.
