Launceston Buddhist Meditation Institute Meditation classes are run twice a week on Tuesdays (6.15 - 7:15PM) and Saturdays (2:00 - 3:00 PM), by Lama in Residence, Venerable Lama Tsewang.

Dharma Day is the first Sunday of each month. Medicine Buddha practice in on Saturday's, 10:00 - 11:00AM. The Institute aims to introduce meditation and Buddhist practice to Tasmanians. It is now scientifically proven that meditation and mindfulness greatly benefit mental capacity, wellbeing, resilience and relieving stress. ed Tibetan Lama, who speaks English. The Kagyu lineage is one of the four main traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. "Kagyu" roughly means the unbroken lineage of profound and intimate guidance in the four types of transmitted mastery, the heart meaning of the three spiritual journey's. The lineage of the Kagyu emphasises the continuity of oral instructions passed on from master to student.
