As we celebrated Father’s Day, our fathers were blessed and challenged by God’s Word to be men of faith like Abraham. We were reminded that when Abraham’s faith was tested, he obeyed God completely. In his total obedience, God revealed the Gospel by providing the ram for burnt offering, demonstrating that God Himself provides the sacrifice.

By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Hebrews 11:17 KJV
