In your prayers, the Holy Family Prayer Group invites you to also pray for the following intention inspired by this Sunday’s verses from the Gospel Reading Matthew 22:37-39 “Jesus said, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: you must love your neighbour as yourself.”

Let us together pray for the following Prayer Intention:
“Let us pray that the Lord God may bestow His grace upon all peoples and manifest in us our love for God and neighbour by moving us to pray for and to reach out, help and support refugees, migrants, the poor, the lonely, all with physical illness and mental health struggles and all in need; and may charity and community services groups be adequately supported financially to help them with their works of charity.”

In your prayers, the Holy Family Prayer Group invites you to also pray for our Holy Father Pope Leo who has been diagnosed with lung cancer as we join our prayers with the prayers of the world:

“Let us pray for our Holy Father Pope Leo that the Lord God guides his medical team in its diagnosis of his cancer and medical condition and provide the best treatment and care for him, and to speedily restore him to full health; may the Lord also grant him strength and peace at this time. Holy Mary Mother of God, please intercede for our Holy Father and for his medical team. Amen.”

In your prayers, the Holy Family Prayer Group invites you to also pray for the following intention inspired by this Sunday’s verses from the Second Reading Philippians 4:6-7 “There is no need to worry; but if there is anything you need, pray for it, asking God for it with prayer and thanksgiving, and that peace of God, which is so much greater than we can understand, will guard your hearts and your thoughts, in Christ Jesus.”

Let us together pray for the following Prayer Intention:
“For all who are worried or overwhelmed by fear or stress – we pray that the Lord Jesus may help them to bring whatever is causing them their worries, fears and stress to Him with prayer and thanksgiving; and may their worries, fears and stress be replaced by God’s peace, a peace that only God can give; and may we also experience that peace in our own lives.”

Archbishop Shane Mackinlay has unveiled his vision for a collaborative leadership model to guide the future of the Archdiocese of Brisbane.

The new structure would involve more lay leaders in the Archdiocese’s oversight and help build a “collaborative, co-ordinated and synodal” local Church.

“For those who choose to do wrong and find it difficult to change or seek repentance of their wrong actions – may the Lord Jesus soften their hearts and help them to see and acknowledge their wrong actions; and like the “first son”, may they repent and change their actions to align with the will of God; and may they come to love Jesus more.”
