MASSES ON THE WEEKEND…

Dear Parishiners of St Marks Inala…
Fr Boni and Fr Long have asked me to contact you with the following information:

The current government advice is that we are no longer required to stay at home. There will be the regular Mass schedule this week-end at St Mark’s Parish.

The Premier in his teleconference this morning asked that everyone use their common sense when making decisions about travel and to always be aware of the dangers of flash flooding.

Because of these risks Archbishop Mark Coleridge has issued a dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass for all parishioners in the Archdiocese this week end.

In making your decision on whether to attend Mass please consider the following:
· Does your travel route to the church include roads that can flood?
· Is any member of your family vulnerable to injuries from falling in the slippery conditions?

If you do choose to attend mass this week end, please be mindful of the following:
· Be aware of all traffic hazards during car parking and be patient when arriving and leaving the church.
· Be aware of the danger of slipping and falling in the wet conditions. Walk slowly and carefully to the church.
· Please leave your umbrellas outside the church – the church floor tiles can get very slippery when wet. Again be careful! Parishioners have fallen inside the church during periods of heavy rainfall.

Fr Boni and Fr Long will remember in prayer all our parishioners this week end,
Stay safe & God bless,

Joy & Margareth (Parish secretaries)

Join us as we listen to Fr Boni Buahendri SVD share his reflection on today’s readings: “Pope Francis once said, “The ability to genuinely love others is not based on our own efforts or goodness. It is being only and always a gift from God. So let love be sincere. We are called to love, to charity. This is our highest calling, our vocation for excellence. Charity, however, is the first and foremost, a grace, a gift, to love is a gift of God. He gives it willingly, if we ask for it”. For sure, there are always some challenges in life, in family, in marriage. We are invited to not easily give up. Let us ask God the source of love, to strengthen our love for one another.” 🙏
