With this in mind, the Plantroom seeks to write mu
sic that resonates with the hearts of its local listeners, and prays that its music, on some small level, empowers the local church to engage missionally and faithfully to God's purposes for the world, especially in its own home town-the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. Even more importantly, the Plantroom aims to fight the temptation of platform: The ever present pressure to desperately seek significance and meaning from self-glorification through self-elevation. God: Father, Spirit and Jesus are alone worthy of elevation, and deserving of praise that rightfully claims Jesus' name above all others. Practically, this means that Plantroom Worship events have no stage, while the band forms an in-ward facing circle, a physical reminder that the attention we draw is not for ourselves, but for Him who has love that is greater and kinder than all others.
