In loving memory of Effie Petropoulos.

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother ,sister, aunty, Godmother, friend.

Effie passed away on Thursday 27th August 2026.

The funeral will be held at St. Stephanos Greek Orthodox Church, 650 New Canterbury Rd, Hurlstone Park, on Friday 4th September at 10:30am.

Following the service, the committal will take place at Rookwood General Cemetery, 1 Hawthorne Ave, Rookwood.

The wake will be held at Village at Rookwood, Cnr Memorial Avenue & Necropolis Drive, Rookwood. (inside the cemetery).

CRU Galston Gorge Camp & Conference Centre

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the Annual Sunday School Camp will be held on Tuesday 6 - Thursday 8 October 2026 at the CRU Galston Gorge Camp & Conference Centre.

Sunday School Camp is an opportunity for children to experience the richness and fullness of our faith in an enjoyable and exciting atmosphere. During the course of these 3 days, the Sunday School teachers of our parishes will lead interesting discussions of a spiritual nature, Bible studies, craft activities, many games and other challenges. The climax of the Camp will be a Divine Liturgy which will be celebrated at the campsite.

Sevasti passed away on Monday 3rd August 2026.

The viewing will be held at Acropolis Funerals Earlwood, 253 – 255 Homer St, Earlwood, on Tuesday 11th August 2026 at 7:00pm.

The funeral will be held at St. Stephanos Greek Orthodox Church, 650 New Canterbury Rd, Hurlstone Park, on Wednesday 12th August 2026 at 10:30am.

Following the service, the committal will take place at
Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park, 12 Military Rd, Matraville.
