Back to School Blessing Backpacks – “Super Squad” Puppet Talk!

As the new school year begins, Boronia Park Uniting Church was celebrating with a special Back to School Blessing Sunday!

This year, our “Super Squad” puppet talk brought encouragement, reminding all students, teachers, and families that they are not alone in their new beginnings.

Kids & youth customised the puppets
Hunters Hill Men’s Shed built the set
Church elders brought the story to life!

Together, as the Body of Christ, we share love, hope, and peace in creative ways, walking the path of Jesus.

Today my friend Lorraine and I took 4 bags of beanies to the Exodus Foundation at Ashfield Uniting Church. We found many happy heads to show off our beanies. My minister Rev Seungjae Yeon asked me to take a photo of the statue of the Korean Comfort Women with a beanie in the grounds. I said a prayer with her. 🙏

Hi, Boronia Park and Friends, we had Lent 2 Sunday worship service onsite yesterday with thanks. Also thank you all for your prayers and thoughts on each other as we are getting a new Covid normal this moment. Because God is able, we can continue our journey today. Lenten blessings upon us all.
