Today on the Feast of St John Vianney, Patron Saint of Priests, we give thanks to God for your 14 years of faithful priesthood.

Thank you for your generous โ€œyesโ€ to Godโ€™s call and for shepherding His people with warmth, wisdom and profound joy. Your ministry has been a blessing to our Fiji Sydney Catholic Chaplaincy and to so many whose lives you have touched.

May the Good Shepherd continue to strengthen, guide and fill you with His grace for the years ahead.

Highlights from our July Mass.

One of the many joys of our July Chaplaincy Mass was seeing our children beginning to take part in the liturgy.

From the welcoming address to the procession of the first-class relic of Saint Carlo Acutis, each role was a beautiful reminder that our children are not only the future of the Church, but an important part of her today.

As Fr. Epeli Qimaqima reflected in his homily, may we never lose our childlike sense of wonder as we continue to grow in faith together.

Thank you to all of our children who generously shared their gifts in serving our community & to all who contributed in the liturgy on Sunday.

A beautiful evening together at our July Chaplaincy Mass, hosted by the St Anthony of Padua Blacktown Community, as we celebrated the Memorial of Saint Joachim and Saint Anne.

We were also blessed with the presence of a first-class relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis, reminding us that holiness is for every generation.

From the witness of Saints Joachim & Anne, to the example of Blessed Carlo Acutis & Fr.โ€™s invitation to keep a childlike wonder in our faith, it was a beautiful reminder that holiness begins with hearts that remain open to Christ.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to all who helped make the day so special.

We now look forward to welcoming our Fiji Catholic communities from across Australia and New Zealand to Sydney for the Trans-Tasman Festival of Hope this August.

We warmly invite you to join us today for our monthly FSCC Eucharistic Celebration as we celebrate the Memorial of Saints Joachim and Anne, the beloved parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the grandparents of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are especially blessed to have with us today a First-Class Relic of St Carlo Acutis. There will be an opportunity for the veneration of this sacred relic, a special occasion to seek his intercession and to deepen our love for Jesus Christ, truly present in the Holy Eucharist.

As we gather in prayer, we also observe the World Day of Prayer for Grandparents and the Elderly, giving thanks for the invaluable gift of their faith, love and wisdom. May we honour their witness, cherish their presence, and keep them always in our prayers.
