Following the announcement at our recent Monthly Mass, cards for our upcoming Kati Fundraiser are now available!

The upcoming Kati Fundraiser, will be held:

Prizes will include Groceries, Baked Goods, Alcohol + more!

Raffle tickets will be available to purchase on the day for lucky dip prizes!

The proceeds from this Fundraiser will go towards the running costs involved with the upcoming Trans-Tasman Festival of Hope, this August.
The Committee organisers of the event hope to make it as enjoyable, spiritually nourishing and accessible as possible for our Sydney Chaplain members to attend the event.

The FSCC warmly invite you to gather with us for the FSCC Monthly Mass of May— Celebrating the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, as well as a Celebration of our Mother's & Mother Figures:

📍 Holy Name of Mary Parish, Hunters
Please be advised there will be NO Eucharistic Adoration this Sunday due to a scheduled Wedding. Entry into the Church shall commence from 3:30pm.

This month's Liturgy will be provided by the St Monica Women's Ministry and after Mass Fellowship hosted by the St John Paul II Men's Group.

All of our dear Mothers & Mother figures are kindly asked to wear Blue and White, the symbolic colours of Our Blessed Mother Mary.

We invite our community to join us with the Mataitini Family as we honour the life and legacy of our beloved brother, friend, and former FSCC Chairman, Ratu James Vincent Ilisoni Mataitini.

We thank everyone for your continued love, prayers, and support during this difficult time as we journey together in faith and hope in the Risen Christ.

𝗜𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝘂 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶

With profound sadness, the Fiji Sydney Catholic Chaplaincy joins the Mataitini family in mourning the passing of our dear brother, friend, and former Chairman of the FSCC, Ratu James Mataitini.

James was a devoted servant of our community whose leadership, generosity, and commitment to the life of the Fiji Sydney Catholic Chaplaincy touched many lives. He faithfully gave of himself in service to God and His people and will always be remembered for his warm spirit, friendship, and dedication to our community.

Together with the Mataitini family, we share the following message:

“On behalf of my children and our family, it is with heavy hearts but faithful hope, that we announce that our Lord has called our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, Ratu James Vincent Ilisoni Mataitini, home to rest on 17 May 2026, fittingly on the Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord.

We are deeply overwhelmed and comforted by the outpouring of love, countless messages, support, and generosity you have shown towards us during this time of grief.

Funeral arrangements are currently being finalised and will be shared shortly.”

As a Chaplaincy family, we ask our community to continue keeping James and the Mataitini family in your prayers during this difficult time. We pray that Christ, who ascended into glory and prepared a place for His faithful people, may now welcome James into the eternal peace and joy of His heavenly kingdom.
