🙏🌿 Feast Day Prayer of St. Raymond Nonnatus🌿🙏

St. Raymond Nonnatus,
faithful servant of God and compassionate friend of those who suffer,
teach us to see the people whom the world overlooks.
Give us courage to speak when others have no voice,
strength to stand beside those who are struggling,
and a heart that never becomes indifferent to another’s pain.

When we feel trapped by fear, difficulties, or circumstances beyond our control,
remind us that God is near and that no suffering is unseen by Him.

Through your intercession,
may we become instruments of hope, freedom, and mercy—
bringing comfort where there is sorrow
and courage where there is fear.
St. Raymond Nonnatus, pray for us,
and lead us ever closer to Christ.

❤️🙏❤️ Day 9, let’s focus on St. John’s unwavering
witness, courage, and complete faithfulness to Christ.

❇️ DAY 9 – A MARTYR’S WITNESS TO CHRIST

🌿 Theme: Asking for the courage of St. John the Baptist to remain faithful to Christ until the end and to become courageous witnesses of the Gospel.

📖 Scripture Reading
“You will go before the Lord to prepare his ways.”
— Luke 1:76

🌱 Reflection
St. John the Baptist did not live to make himself known; he lived to make Christ known. He remained faithful even when faithfulness became costly. His courage came from knowing that the truth of God was worth defending, even at the price of his own life.

As we complete this novena, may we learn from John not only to speak about our faith, but to live it with courage. May we stand for what is true, remain faithful when it is difficult, and never be ashamed to lead others toward Christ.

🌼 Petition
Lord, through the intercession of St. John the Baptist, grant us courage to remain faithful to You until the end. Make our lives a quiet but courageous witness to Your Gospel. When fear, pressure, or difficulties come, give us the strength to choose You above all else.

🙏 Novena Prayer
O glorious St. John the Baptist,
faithful messenger and courageous witness of Christ,
you prepared the way for the Lord
and remained steadfast even unto martyrdom.
Pray for us, that we may have your courage
to live the truth, defend our faith,
and point others toward Jesus through our words and lives.

When our faith is tested, strengthen us.
When we are afraid, make us brave.
When following Christ becomes difficult,
help us remain faithful.

May our lives, like yours,
always prepare the way for Christ
and lead others closer to Him.

Today we are reminded that John’s journey with Christ tragically led to martyrdom.

John didn’t get to see the Transfiguration, Resurrection or Ascension. His fate was to join Adam and Eve and the prophets awaiting and then following Christ into heaven.

But even in death John was an example of all he was in life: courageous, humble, persevering and single-minded in pointing to Christ and God’s holy laws.

His loudest message to us was this: imitate me as I imitate Christ; like me, decrease so Christ increases in you. St John the Baptist, pray for us!

Few, if any Christian writers have written with equal depth on the Blessed Trinity or on charity through the grace of God as St Augustine.

The story of his conversion to Christianity, turning away from a former life of debauchery, ambition and self-preoccupation is a story of a deeply human man, aware of his own weaknesses and of God’s saving grace.

May we ask then for St Augustine’s intercession that we might never lose sight of the power of God’s healing and transforming grace in our lives too. St Augustine, pray for us!
