🌷 St Peters Women Together in Christ Ministry held their monthly meeting on Monday, 19 October.

A heartfelt thank you to our speaker, Dominic Hankins, for sharing his knowledge and insights on “The Gift of Tongues – A Spiritual Gift for All.” 🕊️🙌🏼 It was a blessing to learn more about this beautiful gift of the Holy Spirit, and
it was such a joy to come together in fellowship, learning, and growing in Christ.

🌟 ALL HALLOWS’ EVE SAINT FESTIVAL & TRUNK OF TREATS 🌟

All parish families, children and grandchildren are warmly invited to our All Hallows’ Eve Saint Festival! ✝️

Join us for a fun and faith-filled celebration as we prepare for All Saints’ Day, with:
🎭 Saint Costume Parade – Come dressed as your favourite Saint, Biblical figure or in a wholesome family-friendly costume.
🚗 Saint Trunk-or-Treat – Enjoy decorated car trunks, treats and Saint trivia.
🎪 Games & Prizes – Fun activities and prizes for the best-dressed children.
🍿 Food & Treats – Party pies, sausage rolls, fairy bread, soft drinks and more!

We need your help! Parishioners are invited to host a decorated Trunk and provide nut-free treats, or donate treats/cash towards the event. For more details contact Anthea Hankins 0418 458 662 or Sharon Albuquerque 0431 068 130. All donations of lollies/sweets can be placed in the basket placed in the hall at the back of the church.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Volunteer Thanksgiving Mass on Friday 16 October at 7pm and afterwards for fellowship ! 🫂💒

Our parish is what it is because of YOU! Your time, your generosity, and your faithful service truly make St. Peter’s the community it is today. We are so grateful for each and every volunteer who gives so much.❤️

Join us on Monday 19 Octoberr at 7:00pm at St. Peter’s Community Centre for a beautiful evening of fellowship, friendship and faith!🤍

We will hear from Dominic Hankins, longtime parishioner, teacher and Member of the leadership of St Peter’s Charismatic Prayer group speaking on “Gift of tongues - A spiritual gift for all.”🙏

👩‍🦰 All women aged 18+ are warmly welcome! A gold coin donation would be greatly appreciated.

♻️St Peter's Circle of Hope Recycling Initiative♻️

A heartfelt thank you to our dear parishioners for dropping your 10c recycling cans and bottles into the allocated yellow bins in the church hall. 🙏

To date, together we have raised over $300 to support our work helping struggling families in our parish. 💚

Even more importantly, we have recycled an incredible 3,219 cans and bottles, caring for our common home in response to Pope Francis' call in Laudato Si' and supporting an initiative that is close to the heart of our parish priest, Fr Laurence🙏💚

We kindly ask you to continue collecting your eligible 10c cans and bottles and depositing them in the allocated yellow bins in the church hall. Every container makes a difference! 🥤♻️ Our aim is to recycle 10,000 bottles and cans by June 2027.

Thank you for your generosity, care for our community, and stewardship of God's creation🌏

✨St Peters Mens Ministry Monthly Gathering✨

We were delighted to have over 40 men from St Peters and adjoining parishes attend our Monthly session with Guest Speaker soon to be ordained Permanent Deacon, Francis Thomas who spoke on Hope & Optimism - What’s left when the fire dies down?

The evening began with a sumptuous meal of pizza and biryani with b**r and w**e followed by a prayer, song, icebreaker and an interactive talk which was enjoyed by all.

Francis enabled us to have a real conversation of faith and fellowship. When life doesn't go according to plan, positive thinking gets us only so far. What is required is hope backed by faith.

Our next session is on Monday November 9th at 7 pm when Greig from Achoholics Anonymous will talk to us on Alcohol and Drug addiction and its impact on life, family and society.

💑🙏Our parish organised a married couples retreat on Saturday 10 October led by Annie and Steve Lawrence, who are passionate and experienced educators that have worked extensively with married couples over several years.

The day involved talks, sharing of life stories by Annie and Steve followed by Eucharistic adoration, and dedicated couple time for personal reflection and connection accompanied with lots of sumptuous food and yummy treats.

A heartfelt thank you to Annie & Steve for sharing their inspiring experiences and practical wisdom on marriage and family life. 💖

The day offered valuable reflections on strengthening marital relationships through positivity, quality time, trust in God and forgiveness, as well as building strong, faith-filled families. The retreat was a beautiful opportunity to pause, reconnect and reflect on what truly matters. 🤝❤️

Thank you to Fr Laurence and the retreat team for organising such a wonderful event which is planned to be held annually on the second Saturday of October.🙏✨

💒❤️ Mass for Marriage Anniversaries 2026 ❤️💒

✨ What an amazing celebration of married couples from our parish who are celebrating their significant marriage anniversary in 2026! ✨

🙏 Fr Laurence gave a special blessing to the couples, praying for God’s continued gifts of love, joy and togetherness in their married lives. Each couple also received a commemorative certificate to remember this special occasion. 💖📜

🍰🍬 Following the Mass, we enjoyed wonderful fellowship with delicious traditional sweets and treats generously arranged by the Hoppers Crossing Kachin Community. A heartfelt thank you to them for their warm hospitality and generosity! ❤️

👏 A big thank you to all the couples who registered and joined us for this special celebration. Your presence made the occasion even more meaningful! 💐

📅 Fr Laurence also shared that this will become an annual celebration of family and marriage. Each year, a Married Couples’ Retreat will be held on the second Saturday of October, followed by a special Mass and Blessing for couples celebrating significant wedding anniversaries that year. 💒🙏

❤️ Let us continue to keep these wonderful couples, and indeed all married couples, in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless their marriages with enduring love, faith, patience and happiness for many years to come. 🕊️💍
