Our church is independent in its governance, but we do enjoy fellowship with numerous other like-minded evangelical churches. As to our core belief system, we hold to the framework generally referred to as Reformed Baptist. This framework has a prominent and influential place in the history of the church. Past men of renown who exemplify this framework include John Bunyan (author of Pilgrim’s Progress), William Carey (founder of modern missions) and Charles Spurgeon. Some prominent men who hold this framework today include Don Carson, John Piper, John MacArthur, Al Mohler, Mark Dever and James White. We do not require Christians to be either Reformed or Baptistic to fellowship with us. But we desire for all who choose to fellowship with us to understand that these are the distinctives upheld here. How We Live
We believe that it is not enough simply to have correct doctrine! True salvation begins an ongoing transformation of heart and mind such that we endeavour to live every aspect of our lives to the glory of God, in the likeness of Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is not just the content of our faith, but also the conduct of our faith that matters to God. Therefore, we must strive to live out these beliefs in a gracious and godly manner.
