Winter is almost here and Anglicare Tas are beginning their Winter Appeal. By supporting the winter appeal, together we can help reduce the pressure this winter and provide donations to support the people we see every day in our community struggling with the cost of living and the added pressure of the current fuel crisis.
This year you can donate food items, cleaning items, bedding and kitchen items, or give money. For more information please visit the Anglicare website 🙏.

A donation to Anglicare's Winter Appeal will help us reduce cost of living pressures on people in our community.

Over the weekend we told our congregations that our estimated outstanding liability for redress for those who survived child sexual abuse in the Diocese had risen to $60m. This is an extraordinary amount for a small diocese like ours. Read the full letter here: https://anglicantas.org.au/a-pastoral-letter-from-the-bishop-redress/

We believe that providing redress is our responsibility and the right thing to do. The sins committed by the perpetrators were evil and have had lasting and irreparable effects on survivors. As Jesus bore the cost for sins he did not commit, we willingly bear the responsibility and therefore the cost of the sins of our forebears.

If you are the praying type, please pray for the survivors of abuse that they will receive restorative justice, recognition and support through redress. Pray that we would trust God to help us identify how we are going to meet this challenge. Pray that the church will grow, and more disciples will be made, and that we would be faithful to the Lord who calls us onwards.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, As many of you will know, over the past couple of decades we have been dealing with the sins of historic child sexual abuse that were committed in the Diocese of
