Happy Father’s Day Hobart.
Even as we seek to honour our Fathers today, we are reminded of the words of Jesus when he cautioned us to call no one ‘father’ for we all have one Father, who is God in Heaven.

Hey Hobart,

Just wanted to let you know that Johnmark and Nicole will be heading to Melbourne in the new year, where they’ll be taking up new roles within The Salvation Army.

We warmly welcome Major Angela Rawlings into the role of Corps Officer and pray God’s blessing on her and she takes up this new role in January.

How amazing is the love of God; especially when we think of all He has done for us;

“For as high as the heavens are above the earth,

so far does he remove our transgressions from us.” - Psalm 103:11-12

What a wonderful reason to gather and worship Christ the morning?

For those needing the encouragement today; these words from Psalms might just hit the spot;
“The LORD is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
He does not punish us for all our sins;
he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.
For his unfailing love toward those who fear him
is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.”

An act of love doesn’t need to be dramatic to be transformative.

Posture is important! We cannot serve another as a critic, only as the humble servant. Who needs a cleansing gesture of kindness today?

Lord, in an age when so much of our culture thrives on outrage and division, and everyone has an opinion, may your Church be an oasis of cleansing, grace and kindness. Amen
